I decided to break from mapping and do some trialmasters today. Went to buy a fate and found out they are 30-90ex a piece. Last week they were 7-28ex.

The economy is inflating too fast for the average player. They can't reach the state of gathering 30ex per map. Equipment that costs divines are getting further and further out of reach.

I'm not saying this is not expected, but the RMT/botting/scamming is accelerating this. Need some communication from devs at least acknowledging this and stating they are looking at it. Tolerable league length will be dictated by how fast this happens each league. So unless they want like 6 week leagues they need to figure it out.

Actually, not at all. I think this reflects real-life economies around the world. The government set the foundations through laws and guidance. The people of the country and the private business sector heavily influence how the economy operates. This is over simplified, but in essence, between Leagues GGG can modify the framework.

honestly i think they do want 6 week leagues, sounds like a good tempo.



thing is if someone cant afford those fates, but they could have beat the boss then they could farm those fates and if they are worth that much they can sell them and generate currency that way?





i think thats one of the main problems with the economy right now is that we just dont have enough mechanics and systems added yet. in a poe1 league theres a million things i can do to make money.

are fire spells meta? ok well i can craft medium fire cluster jewels. or if i dont understand those builds and systems enough to craft them i can farm the jewel bases in deli and sell them to the people crafting them. best way to craft them is fossils, so i could also farm fire and life fossils and sell them. theres an entire ecosystem there, a supply chain i can jump into at various points as a way to generate reliable middle class income.



we just dont have that depth yet. all we have is breach, expedition, ritual, essences, deli and strong boxes really, and theyre all kind of trash except breach which just gives you the currency. it doesnt even feed a chain of steps like i just described its literally farm this fast and you directly get the currency.

you can farm chaos and sek... yeah i guess? maybe the fates sound like a thing people could target?


but in poe1 theres so much stuff coming in and out of meta, theres 50+ things you could be doing at any given time to find your place in the economy doing an activity you enjoy.
