The game has been abandoned
" 50% bots? Nah, it's like 99.99999% In fact, I'm the only human playing PoE2. |

Pressing the Doubt option.
I do wish they'd give us a bit more updates though. What they have planned. What they are working on. If they can't hard commit to a timeline, they should simply not do that, but at least tease some stuff that's being worked on with a HUGE disclaimer that things may change before it gets put into the Early Access. I guess the latter may be why they don't want to overshare too. People will expect it to be as shown, and if things gets changed, they'll complain even if the thing was never released into the wild. My copium is hoping for a new class or weapon with the next update, with a new league to give the economy (within that league) a fresh start. Something to rekindle some hype. |

20,000 playing Diablo IV.
Diablo IV has been utterly vanquished by POE 2. |
|
" Thats not saying much. Lets check back in a year with poe2 and nothing noticeable has changed. They could add 100 new classes and weapons but if they are all 1 button AOE spam whats the point? The mage aoe spams red stuff, the druid aoe spams green stuff. Wow what gameplay... |

Communication is definitely a problem. They aren't actually transparent. Doing 180s on quite a few things they've claimed is their goal/vision/whatever. They state that RMT'ing won't be tolerated, but instead they support it. They know of cheaters and even after they are exposed nothing happens to the cheaters/exploiters/botters/scammers.
I think a lot of folks are still exploring the game or trying to see if they can farm up to play a broken build and actually experience the rest of the content. Eventually they'll burnout, unless GGG injects some freshness into this thing. Or openly and honestly addresses the major issues. Their last interview felt bad. Personally, I think they shouldn't do another interview without prepared answers to the major complaints. With the warrior question they could have said "yeah, we see a lot of the player base echo'ing these concerns and will be looking at it in the future". No promises, but at least empathetic. Instead they laughed, said "sure", and moved on. My guess is I'm not the only one hearing "don't you own phones?" echoing in my head. And BTW, that blizzcon comment is what made me boycott the company. Not a single dime spent with them since. So I think they need to be more careful with how they portray themselves. In the beginning of their company they were gamers and we all identified with them. Now they are devs, and are seemingly as clueless as devs in other companies. Out of touch with their customers and prioritizing whatever makes their overlords money. |

Is lying to yourself some kind of kink or new tik tok challenge? " it's such a deja vu of wow shadowland, player hates the design, developer somehow just being stubborn and number was quite good at start, so defenders use it to smear the criticism what eventually happens is everything falling apart and was never able to be built back up |
|
" Hey, uninstall and move on xD But seriously, PoE will never fall apart. $100kk in revenue, $40kk in EBT. The few niche players will probably keep giving money to GGG because they think it's a masterpiece. At some point Tencent might rip off the good devs from GGG to release something more suitable to try to compete against Blizzard and the Diablo franchise if PoE doesn't cut it, but that's how far PoE will be negatively affected by GGG's inability to change their stance. As long as their game is profitable, no one will force them to do anything different. The only thing I don't really understand is why GGG wasted so much time and money to develop and launch something that's basically PoE but with better looks. Their formula was working to make money. PoE 2's playerbase is behaving just like any PoE league, just with bigger numbers because of the investment in marketing for the EA release |
