The game has been abandoned

The game has been abandoned, just like POE 1. Its in a state known as "maintenace mode". They will post once a month on twitter making promises and alluding to big changes in the works that will unfortunately never happen.

If this game ever leaves early access it will be with minor number tweaks, stat changes, and more poorly optimized league mechanics piled onto the already flawed and messy end game.

In one year this game will look and play exactly the same with minor changes at best. This is a "finished product" and anyone hoping for sweeping changes is addicted to copium.

Yes. It's in a semi-abandoned state.
Thank goodness I can play Nikke, where they've already released the roadmap of all the content planned for 2025.
Just imagine, a company like GGG that has 10 years of experience with PoE1, and spent 5 years developing PoE2 and being financed by Tencent, losing to a gacha.
Ridiculous, but it's reality.

This game even manages to lose to Diablo 4. There, at least, we have two live streams per Season, informing about the new content and new changes.

I hope it was worth it, making a game where the endgame is exclusive to streamers and RMT.

If you genuinely believe so - uninstall and move on.

"You just don't know *insert criticism of Diablo 4, saying how horrible the game is*.

That justifies the deplorable and abandoned state that PoE2 is in!"
Good. For a game so disrespectful of its players, and with defenders so abusive, it deserves to be. No mercy for developers who refuse to change their vision when players don't enjoy it.

Yeah! No mercy for From Software!
"

The trolls have abandoned the game, that's why the game now has less than 100k active players.

Weird, more than 300k online right now.

Steam says 200k. Are you claiming that the poe launcher has 100k people using? How do you know? Are you aware that the game is plagued with bots so the actual playerbase is probably nowhere near what the steam number shows?

50% of steam online is bots too since you can buy poe2 keys with regional pricing, as low as 12$ instead of 30$ in some regions
