Atlas shouldn't be infinite

Perhaps make it really big, but not infinite.

Also rather than make things rarer the further you are from the start, why not make it rarer the more nodes you complete, this makes it so you end up scrolling less through the map after some time in the league, and making concentric circles around the start area is a viable strategy.

Making it big but not infinite makes it so you can at least have the illusion of completing something. Sometimes less is more and infinite just makes it feel worthless/meaningless to explore.

What....why?

It's not meant to be a thing you 'complete'
so what shall we do once its all completed?

be happy about it. Wait for more to come...as intended and announced in EA.
Nope. -1
Atlas can and should be improved, but it shouldn't be finite.

You completed your atlas.

Congratulations.

Uninstall game because nothing left for you to do till next league. Oh you're in standard? Too bad. You have to wait till PoE3.

I love this forum because it's full of the most absurd game design ideas....
simple solution. reset it on completion, give +1 to some modifiers. would at least give some progression on top and helps to not have to scroll 12 Minutes after mapping for 2 months

Literally none of the things you suggested make sense. Not me, at least.
The "illusion of completing something" is the (end-)game itself.
How do you not see that?

Eh, they need an atlas for the altas and search functionality.

Not really sure I care much for 'resetting' it though or a concept of completion especially if it comes with bonuses as it would quickly become a thing you MUST do for the "real" game to begin.

Get your 30 atlas points, get all the other atlas points, now wipe out ALL the atlas nodes to reset it with +1 - oh the grind...no thanks.

nah i dont mean wiping all points or something, only the atlas map itself so you restart from centre with some bonus.
