SSF global chat should be separate

Yeah merging chats is a huge loss. Now I either join 773 or get spammed by bots in other global channels

This doesn't bother me, I'm in on the meme and not the one being fooled. So why would I need a coping mechanism to deal with banter that I am in on? You can see how little sense that makes right?

This just points in the same direction, someone who projects cope with the exact opposite of its meaning, probably also not picking up on memes and banter all that well I'd guess.

(BTW I'm not against splitting per se I use 773 so I am actively splitting chat proactively and don't see a lot of reason why I'd need GGG to do it for me, but also I wouldn't be bothered if they did)

It makes sense. Part of the appeal for us SSF players is not to have to deal with the trade rat race, the trading mentality like ways to farm not to gear one's character but to trade other things.

Plus people not playing but requesting to be carried through ascendencies and bosses.

The absence of spam bots advertising dodgy websites was a bonus.

Because SSF is essentially solo play, having a cohesive community is a big part of making SSF more enjoyable.

Im glad to see you guys agree with me for the most part. SSF chat was wonderful, this is kiddie garbage for the most part. I want to be back with the big dogs talking about real stuff.

Merging a happy, friendly community into a hot mess isn't going to fix anything

At least one person has mentioned already, but there's an unofficial SSF channel, 773. Type /global 773 to change channels.

SSF and trade chats are merged in POE 1 as well, so it's not surprising they're merged here as well. Global 1 has always been a bit of a cesspool. That said, don't hesitate to report people as well. It does help clean things up if multiple people submit reports on toxic and TOS-breaching chat. Moderators are usually pretty quick to hand out mutes.

It would be a better experience for new SSF players to be automatically into a SSF only chat.

But for now, I confirm /channel 773 is nice. The game appears to remember the channel when you switch characters.

I was super happy and surprised to find global chat was SSF only, it was great. If they really changed that they need to bring it back.
