Upcoming Changes in Path of Exile 2 0.1.1
" Nope, it's mentioned that it is exactly what they are doing: Here's a transcript from the video itself 😊: Leaving the map still forfeits your attempt 4:08 so you'll still need to fight the boss with the build you walked into the map with. 4:11 Higher difficulties of the boss will lower the number of respawn attempts you get, 4:15 but you should know the mechanics of the fight by then, right? " Seriously. Absolutely baffled that trials aren't being adjusted here. They're absolutely awful and the feedback on that is so one sided that I don't understand what they're thinking trying to stick with it. |

a junior developer on the sound & music team took 5 minutes to correct "play(una_loot.ogg)" to "play(una_lute.ogg)"? unacceptable. they should have used those 5 minutes to fix a cpu-specific crash, revise visual effects for clarity, and add an auction house. after all, it's well known that software developers are interchangeable and can easily do many things at once. if you want some development work done, you can just give it to the first person you run into who looks kinda techy. this is called agile development and it's the first thing every technical project manager learns in their "Enabling Strategy Agility with Lean Portfolio Management" session. i didn't even make up that name (trigger warning: SAFe®)
it sounds like we'd prefer that GGG not deliver improvements as they become available. if they fix some issues, that means all other issues must be unimportant and low priority. since most issues are important to someone, it's a slap in the face to folks whose important issues haven't yet been fixed. the only fair way to deliver bug fixes is to withhold them until all bugs are fixed. it's like kindergarten candy rules: you're not allowed to have a bug fix unless you brought enough bug fixes for the entire class to have one. |

Some good things some bad, let me address this:
1. Simulacrums increased with 20%? I am not sure who played the game but they forgot 1 "0" here. I have 3 lvl 93 characters and I do not have a full simulacrum. 2. Same with the omens 60% of 0 is 0. 3. I really hope you forgot the MF change. The rest of the changes are OK, I like the change to uniques and the Boss tablets are great Last edited by TheSpiritWolf#6396 on Jan 12, 2025, 7:55:50 PM

" 1. Rarity = good 2. I am sure they are working on that, however, it is not an urgent need but a QOL fix 3. They literally talked about the plan for nerfs/buffs in the video... and it makes sense. 4. They discussed this as well, although maybe not as in depth as you would have wished, reducing load times and tackling builds in upcoming patches that are causing stability issues. 5. Not even sure what you mean here 6. New classes/weapons? Why would that be a discussion in the first major patch when there are numerous other things that need to happen first? 7. Blink go fast 8. Refer to #3 9. Yes, correct, there was nothing about POE1 in the POE2 stream.... smh... |

Please tell me the witch mobs in the Drowned City area are getting some changes to the way their spells are cast, the damage they do, their resists or something! Those have to be the most annoying mob in the game for melee characters because they case their spells and then stand in them. If you dive in after them you get a free map reset. So obnoxious!

" Idk if you know this but changing a file name is way easier than anything else you suggested they do.... |

To see so many people be so flippant about GGG turning their backs on PoE 1 is disturbing. If you're a new player, wouldn't you want to see a company that stays loyal to its long-time players and makes good on its promises to maintain their game even when shifting focus to other projects? This would make a normal person feel secure in investing their time (and money if you care about mtx) into this game, that they won't be rug pulled at some point in the future. But here we are with people literally saying "get over it" and "what did you expect" to PoE 1 players asking about when our game is going to get any attention. Not to mention the "PoE 1 is bad" comments, as if the game hasn't lead the entire ARPG genre for the past 10+ years.
You can refer me to the news post for the 3.26 timeline all you want, but the truth is that they have ALWAYS said SOMETHING in the weeks coming up before the new league stream. This time we haven't heard anything at all, not even a single comment on anything happening with PoE 1. It's unusual and concerning. You can also say "they JUST got back from vacation, and with PoE2 stuff happening how do you expect them to do it?" Well Settlers of Kalguur released in AUGUST, so they have had quite a bit of time to work on the next expansion, even considering the launch of EA, holiday vacations, and the EA patches. We'll be approaching 6 months at the end of January, when they told us to expect news. To put this into perspective, PoE 2 players have pleaded for an economy reset before even 1 month into EA, and when GGG took a break without patching for two weeks there were multiple threads about them dropping EA before Holiday and riding off into the sunset with their cash grab. This is also all considering that they originally led PoE 1 players, their core fanbase, to believe that their game would be minimally impacted by PoE 2. Obviously they've shown us that this won't be true, but I guess my point is that things have only ever gone in the worse direction for PoE 1 players. Delay after delay, constant remarks from devs about how the way things are in PoE 1 are mistakes, and now with Johnathan's "that's a quite complicated and long discussion" comment when asked about 3.26, I just feel like PoE 1 players are about to get another huge slap in the face with whatever news that comment is referring to. It's shocking that it's come to this tbh. I can only hope it's not a "pulling the plug" or life-support conversation, but at worst just another delay. |
