I think the game, at the base, is in pretty good shape to. Didn't say anything about that. I play Mercenary, allot needs fixing but first things first.

That i wouldn't go live like this and you would is just a difference of opinion, no hard feelings mate.

Difference is that this is the PRODUCTION enviroment and we signed up for EARLY ACCESS to the PRODUCTION enviroment to help find bugs and such to make the game better.
We even paid 30 bucks to help find bugs, for a game that's gonna be free when it's out of EA. How's that for having hart for the game.

patch introduced UI bug when mobs move they generate thousands of grey pixels in strands all around them. Impossible to do maps, all you see is a grey mass with no discernible mobs in it.



EDIT: this is from OVERWHELMING PRESENCE. I deactivated this gem and the anomalies went away

This happens in all hideouts. Not just dreadnought.
My gameplay FPS increased after today's patch. I dk what was wrong before got 16core cpu and 4070rtx. Still fps can goes %50 lower at some kind of actions like cluster of enemies killed or some kind of aoe effect. I believe "death effect of corpses" kinda bugs the engine.

Game engine still bottlenecks GPU from CPU usage tho.

For the moment all i can help to give "feedback" EA.

I mean they wont even take the time to add a loot filter for console gamers so they have highlighted / items on mini map. So either they're on vacation or just don't give a solid F about their console gamers. I am PC gamer but there is legit no excuse to fuck over their entire console gamer community that hard.

Poe 2 to me really feels more like Poe 1.5
The game is outstanding visually and thematically and you feel immersed in the amazing map layouts and the boss fights are much more engaging, but that is about it.

But then again are the boss fights really that much more engaging? Everything is so obviously telegraphed you can ESC respawn to avoid any one shots.

Defenses are a complete joke you only have ES viable and still cannot survive, your best defensive layer is to one shot everything and instant phase bosses
which IN TURN takes away from all the engaging boss mechanics you have worked to create. So in turn you need to entirely GUT your defense system and build another one cause the current one is a giant turd. A less polished emulated version of poe1s. Ive never felt more of a limp dick uber boss experience in my POE than the arbiter.

Theres so much stupid shit about this game just repeating the same mistakes of poe1 again (spark and walls)

Nothings been balance tested, or if you did you hired your 5 year old little cousin to balance test, and when you asked him if anything needed to be balanced on monk bell he said 'nope its perfectly balanced'
(the fact that you over see shit like MONK BELL is absolutely ridiculous)

99 thousand bugs and crashes don't bother me, that shits probably hard AF to figure out. But when so many of your pre-conversion and post-conversion mechanics in-game are inconsistent and tooltip is complete dog shit, you know that stuff bothers me, cause that's just blatant neglect.
-Heft support buffs certain skills pre-conversion and others post
-auto attack can and will swing towards a wall if you are too close to it and stop your pathing
-spark wont fire if you too close to a wall
-trial of sekhamas WP changes location on map pointlessly if you start from different zones
-the underground portion toggle on map changing the WP location and the whole underground toggle is just dumb
just a couple off off the top my head, imagine if i actually recorded the 100s

Uniques are basically the same but reworked. Ghostwrithe being the same and actually good is just boring, HOWA/Pillar etc... like where is the actual creativity? Almost all currency the same with two new orbs. I was really hoping for a poe2 not just a sequel, but the amount of re-used ideas makes it feel stale. What about new currency, new uniques, MOST IMPORTANTLY LIKE SOME NEW FUCKIN AFFIXS NOT JUST THE SAME FUCKIN BORING SHIT? LIKE REALLY? 97% OF YOUR AFFIXS ARE JUST COPIED AND PASTED FROM POE1, HOW DO YOU EVEN CALL THIS A VERSION TWO? everything feels like a more visually polished but inconsistently planned and plotted version of poe1. Almost burnt out of a just a month of Poe2, I doubt replaying with a new class will do it for me when just 90% of the game feels copied and pasted from poe1.

Poe2 - you can spend 100 hours worth of currency to not even craft a single mid-top tier item, how is this fun? At least poe1 you had a fuckin bench.
TBH the game at the current state has less desirability for replay.

I mean you specifically stated you didnt want players to have to pick up 1,000 items off the ground so you made loot more 'scare and rewarding'
Yet now you have to pick up every magic unid base you need to ID to see if worth regaling

before you could avoid picking up every magic item and just vendor for alts
alt hoard and then alt spam.
without alts you kinda need to pick up and ID every magic item or you sleeping on plus 2 minion helms, all skill amulets, etc.

LEGIT you put the exact system in place you tried to change and avoid.

im not sure how long the celebrate Baby Jesus in NZ but holiday ended 15 days ago here :P but i guess they still on holiday

We had our hopes and expectations high boys, but looks like this wont be the dream game we were dreaming for.

Without a proper balance team this game will always be a lesser version of its potential self, and you have had a shit balance team ever since poe1 beta and nothing has ever changed.

That is strange. for me it works. Even if game freezes (happens once-twice a day), I have no issue with stopping it, as OS has free cores to manage itself. You sure that you leave at least two first ones?

yeah it worked once disabling 2 cores. But my PC got noticeably much slower and less responsive when POE2 decided to shit the bed.
The second time POE2 decided to shit the bed with 2 cores off i got the looping sound and PC is unresponsive.

PLaying on a 7600x3d and 4070ti super. Only game that has problems

Brother it is indeed PoE 1.5 and it's obvious, unfortunately. People who expected just a new PoE game with changed approach were apparently delusional. So many of this game's issues are just past or present PoE issues, i am convinced this was being developed as a visual upgrade for PoE 1 for the longest time and they didn't really intend to make it its own game, despite claiming that. It's just a visual upgrade with a few mild changes to mechanics like the gems and different passive skill tree layout adjusted to new classes and items, but at its core it's definitely the same old PoE 1 :D Which is unfortunate, i'd love a fresh PoE game.

Making things like defenses working worse than PoE 1 or introducing some more tediousness like the Trial system after so many PoE 1 players complained about this stuff for years is a bit crazy. Especially considering they've supposedly learned things from over a decade of PoE 1 development. Doesn't look like it so far though.

Then you have the good old performance issues (which are even more severe in PoE 2 due to graphical updates) that makes endgame unplayable for many builds, or random mobs still one-shotting you out of nowhere for no reason, or on-death effects which aren't visible due to all the visual clutter. Just classic PoE 1 things, nothing's changed.
