True balance never existed. No arpg has EVER been balanced.

Be careful what you wish for.

You nerf top5 op builds. Then you nerf next top5 op builds. If they are op - they should be nerfed. It doesnt matter if they were only top10 previously.

If nerfing some builds inreases build variety (and it usually does, as long as nerfed builds performed above average), then it is a good thing.

What about buffing the weaker builds, no?

The problem with nerfing the build with the most optimal gear and settings is that you make the build unplayable with not so optimal gear and settings then.

We had and have the same problem in POE1 before. I play currently a build that promises 1.1 billion damage when fully optimized. I have managed to reach 2 million damage so far at level 92 ...

Sure, that will increase variety as well. But weak builds less impactful overall just because nobody plays them, unlike OP builds. My build was buffed a lot in December, btw.

It's weird why you care more about someone else's game and not your own.

You don't play a competitive game like pvp/dota 2, the question then is why do you need this balance? Even in dota 2 it's hard to make the balance perfect, and you want to do it in poe where it's 100x harder to combo.

Just play the way you like and any problems with the game will go away on their own.

Right now the endgame is a drag, the sooner you finish the build and can start the next one the better!
I be honest and say that PoE 2 is NOT in a state I want to sit down a month or 2 to get my build uber content ready.

I wish for the top 20-30 builds to be nerfed. The game is just PoE1 again which sucks.
