My Personal thoughts on EA and some possible ideas (Xbox series X updated as of 1/5/2025)

I get what you’re saying, but I mean I have a lvl 67 token and several honor resist relics (not sure I have 70%, but I’m up there). I just don’t like honor at all. The alternative just seems so rng heavy.

I’ll likely do the 3rd eventually, I have tokens for days, in my head the 3 floors feels much longer than uber lab, and mind you I only had about 2 weeks of PoE1 before EA so that wasn’t short by any means for me as a brand new player.

I don't disagree with the amount of time to go through the trial is too long.Every Trial should just be 1 floor not start at 1 and go to 3. The trial system as a whole is half baked atm and should have just been an endgame mechanic as their loot is more designed for it.
So I 100% agree with the previous posts and think they summed it up much better than I could.

The one thing I would add is that I feel like damage needs to be toned down all around. It feels like everything in the game has a golden gun so you either 1 shot the mob or get one shot yourself. I like the idea of a multi phase fights and mechanics that need to be learned and worked around. I don't want a loot piñata but I also want the ability to recover if I fail a mechanic.

If I want a POE1 style of endgame then I'll go to POE1 as the game is still being developed and doesn't have most of the current POE2 issues. I'm hoping for something different.

100%, drops seem pretty decent in there and it would work very well as additional endgame.

For ascendancy-it just seems contradictory to appealing to the audience they stated they hoped to gain in PoE2 to me. As long as console parity and optimization gets attention soon, I likely won’t be going anywhere (other than maybe PoE1 to finish up my character there).

Trials will almost certainly kill my more “casual” friends’ interest though, several already asked for help and I’ve had to say “well uh, I haven’t done my last 4 actually”.

Keeping this bumped though, console optimization needs some serious attention as not everybody will stick around when they see the performance in late Act 3/maps and your posts very eloquently and accurately stated other improvements needed.

While I'm enjoying the game, at the same time, there's ZERO replayability here. 15-20 minute boss fights that took me a half dozen attempts and little to no reward has me thinking - "I NEVER wanna see that fight again."
Yeah my goal was to be as fair as possible. Hopefully they look into a lot of these issues as most of these exist in poe 1 too. Too while there was vast improvements made in some areas building a new game from ground up but still having the same problems from poe1 in end game is ridiculous. It's to my understanding that poe 1 & 2 have very similar game engine and by doing this has brought back a lot of problems that were never addressed. Console is going to take a lot of work to get to equal footing with pc and unfortunately ggg will have to allocate a lot more dev time to fix. It's crazy that as much shit as i like to give blizzard they have a much more polished game play experience on consoles.

Yeah unfortunately it's on ggg at this point to start addressing it. Everyone has seen these issues since poe 1 and it carried over into two. Hopefully we get some info on the 6th when things are back to normal.
