My Personal thoughts on EA and some possible ideas (Xbox series X updated as of 1/5/2025)
1. Respecs need to be given with nerfs and tune respec costs before launch. This only should be done through early access to promote the best testing possible. We all know a massive balance patch is coming let’s just get ahead of this issue. Not everyone has millions of gold stored to continue testing post change.
2.Minion Ai -rather weak consistently getting stuck and trying to target offerings on a minion is too difficult. My solution for offerings would be create a defender tag and we can set offerings to be cast on this type of minion. 3.Trade and third party advantages for pc - Now that we have crossplay competitive integrity is in question by many. This needs to be addressed by staff at this point in a news post. Things like awaken poe trade, filterblade, trade site. Massive improvements need to be made to limit 3rd party software. While i may not agree with everyone on trade board console players have to spend a lot more time on a trades then pc players . One thing we all agree on is you can't have two vastly different experiences. You chose to bring all platforms together so now the experience of the players needs to match. 4. Target selection when using abilites- im sure i am not the only one but i tried all alt fire methods on ranger and constantly feel like i am fighting ai to hit the closest threat. Grenades need alt fire to be placed at feet im sure there is other instance where alt behaviors would greatly improve builds. 5. Screen tearing- im sure everyone on x box and playstaytion have enjoyed act 3 flashbangs in middle of fighting a pack of mobs. I don't know the eta on this fix but please make it soon. 6.Ability to read prefix and suffix stats- right now they are very faint when you look at an item. Please make this brighter so we can actually see the tier. 7.Quick stash- The button seems to break every 15mins and only fixes when you relog 8.Linking items in chat- Why did we change this from poe 1. i can't be the only one annoyed by all the extra steps to link an item. Let me press 1 button to link and be done with it pleas. 9.Mini map improvements- It would be nice to move map around in zone instead of having to back track to every area to see what you missed. 10. Loot- Overall loot has seen some massive improvements my only complaint would be most uniques seem very underwhelming. Drops feel like they have no purpose with lack of filter. Should be that epic moment when you know something good just dropped.(sync for filter eta few weeks to months) 11.Bosses in story feel good but rewards feel lackluster. I should not be going through your game fighting bosses and come out with nothing. Why would anyone want to fight a boss and continue to play the game with no rewards in these moments. 12.It's been 11 years since i asked but pants in poe when? 13. Supporter packs- Console players can’t buy the ability to get physical goods or create in game items like pc. Would be nice to have a way to obtain the items as well. 14. Battlepass- when game launches it would be nice if we actually had a good battlepass the Poe 1 pass never motivated me to buy as it was mystery boxes. 15. My solution to trade add a new tab with a limit on purchased amount of tabs. These items get listed with buyout prices. Add fees to put items in tab maybe a new droppable currency token. Create in game mailbox for items and payment to be delivered.Something a long this trade being so easy ruins the core experience of your game because you skip too much content. 16.Sending Guild Points- Thanks for adding the option to do this in game but leaders can’t accept them in game can we get this added as well. 17. Guild Invites- Even if you’re in a guild people can still spam you with invites in town. It’s rather annoying seeing the invites every time you log in if you can’t decline them due to being in one. 18. Recently noticed that pc can see completed trades at alva on currency exchange.We currently don't have the ability to see this and would be nice to have this info as well. 19.Dps tool tips have stopped functioning specifically on heralds i noticed this the most. I can go into the skills tab to view it but pc can see in the skill menu. It would be nice to avoid having to go into advanced info just to see current dps. 20.Build planner- We all know path of building will be released by the community developers at some point. Why is this not an in game feature at this point. Console has never had easy access to this. I get the game needs to be explored and uncover things but planning a build and then making it is an awesome experience. There is no logical reason this can't be added post launch. I understand it will need development time. Plenty of content that gets thrown up on youtube or other areas that ruin this experience your trying to protect. If the argument is because it already exist remember this is console and it does not. we should be able to hit pause and actively go into a build planner in game. 21. While you were on vacation a lot of pc players were being hacked and are asking for 2fa. GGG need to take a stance against 3rd party aps due to this. players are giving up the protection of their accounts for tools that should be in game. 22. Massive fps issues in juiced content while mapping. if density gets too high and projectile count goes up your fps tanks. 23.Address crafting situation as currently it's gamble with extra steps.Crafting used to need more knowledge and offer a very exciting way for some people to engage in your game.This also helped balance the trade economy as the players that crafted needed resources to make those items. 24. Skills that require charge time are constantly interrupted Personally Plasma cannon seems very fun until you get staggered out of charge 100 times. Would like to see abilities like this function better. 25.Trial of sekhams shortcut needs to be added next to chaos trial at waypoint please. 26.Keyboard and mouse support should be added as it is supported on consoles but this very low on my list of things i care about. 27. Please add waystone tab + fragment tab also would love one for precursor tablets if you plan on keeping them around. Uncut gems should stack in gem tab as they are not modified by sockets. 28. Maybe After returning every 2 weeks we can get a 1-2 hour stream going over the state of early access. This would allow info to be given out to all platforms not just pc on what is being worked on and is to come. Y'all did an amazing job covering the game prior to launch of Ea let's keep that energy going. 29.If you don't have time for my previous recommendation at least on your patch notes show what changes are made for console. Console suffers from a lot of different issues then pc. 30.Please balance warrior early game by far the worst lvling experience in the game at the moment. 31.Reforging waystones is very tedious compared to poe 1 with being able to sell 3-1 to vendor. Maybe add a new vendor option to handle this specific mechanic. Also being able to Buy x quantity on wisdom scrolls would be nice 32. Death explosions of monsters-how did we not learn how bad this was from dd. Not saying all of them are bad as there are some you can see but there is a lot you can’t. If this is how you have to frustrate the layers or make your game feel harder than you have not succeeded in your goal. Dark souls games punish players without having to use mechanics like this because they design difficult mechanics with timing windows. 33. Ability to toggle loot on and off. Just because less loot drops doesn’t mean we are able to pick it all up. Sometimes the name of drop doesn’t line up with location of item and we have no way to reset other then leave map. 34: Uniques- overall I have mentioned they are rather boring. We should see some that change skills up. Example being a new hammer: Hammer of gods reduced damage by 50% hammer of gods can now be channeled. Smaller aoe hammers fall around you. You can have them Persist on ground and create a ring that makes them orbit you. These are fun interactions that create entertaining builds. Map Feedback
1.Citadels seem to be a pain point for many.Some find them some do not. 2.Missing the quality of mapping experience from poe 1. Personally i felt like i was achieving something when i completed the atlas or the story mode boss attempts. Please bring this back it was very well done experience from poe 1. 3. Every map should have a boss hunting and back tracking for rares is disappointing. Loot is very scarce unless you engage in trade. I would give up trade entirely if the game was designed to support it as making your own builds and finding loot is a better experience. Yes I know SSF but the game is balanced around trade which is a terrible experience for the casual player. 4. Waystone drop rates need to be increased. 5.Precursor tablets and towers- seemed more fun that it really turned out to be. Most of the mechanics feel a bit boring and only hurt fps and ability to play. 6.Breach and Ritual are way too strong from a loot stand point. 7. I don't mind the whole one portal thing but i do remember a selling point being the ability to try bosses over and over again. The boss hp resets but having the ability to try a fight multiple times to learn can only help people learn mechanics. I should not be making a decision of weather to sell the nameless king fight or to do the fight due to the value my account would gain selling it. 8.Seems to be an issue with fog on map atlas reappearing. Only solution i found so far to fix is to recenter and relog back in. Not everyone will be able to see this but can we look into this issue. 9. Backtracking in maps is way too annoying in the current state. The check point system would be a huge boost to help with this issue. 10. The atlas has a lot of points that tend to be disconnected. Seems to happen far to often and creates annoying paths that make u go out of way and end up getting blocked off from reaching other side. 11. Please list the terrain types on nodes as you have created the biomes. I don't want to have to look up which map is attached to said biome.Also maybe consider expanding up the biome idea i generally love the idea of target farming. Makes it very simple to understand where i need to go to get desired things for my gaming experience. 12. Story atlas nodes seems very weak your either going into waystones for sustain drastically hurting your ability to get drops or going all in for drops.Strong boxes,Shrines,Essence are far too niche and quite honestly too weak to compete with precursor /rare nodes. 13. Waystones from vendor do not progress past tier 5 in Poe 1 then vendor was much better as it allowed the purchase of red maps which would be waystone 11+. 14. They should just remove the well and have your flasks refill automatically like in POE1. Why make me walk over and click something?
rethink charms, I think I'm being baited by using the gold charm now that I read it more carefully. 1 whole second after I kill a rare! wow that's completely useless isn't it I'd be happy if we just had a loot filter tbh though |

Charms were better in poe 1 from a design stand point i find them very boring to have to look at and honestly don't care much for them. There needs to be more build making items. immunity to stuns freeze ect... Would rather it be gone and just play better mechanically to avoid those situations.

Some really good and well made points.
I know it's EA, and know things are not final etc. but it does feel like console was badly rushed to make it out in time. Targeting is painful at times for sure. One map attempt would be almost ok....if the servers were stable, 1-shots from 2 screens away didn't happen, or at the very least, you didn't lose breach/expedition etc on death. Trade is just plain broken compared to poe1 imo, I personally preferred the trade board, but what there is now is a huge backwards step. Going by what was confirmed by GGG in earlier interviews, I'm guessing the TB / Instant buyout stuff is part of actual launch. Changing the buttons from poe1 is frustrating as hell, whoever decided we needed to use a different button for the exact same thing needs to seek help ;) Overall, I do enjoy the EA, but it's for sure not frustration free. Oh, and who in the hell agreed to the change in Sins voice ??????? |

I hit lvl 90 today and am taking a break for awhile: Series X (game runs fine on my laptop):
1. Optimization is inexcusable, sorry. 80 fps at best on a 120hz tv and rituals still tank it to 20 or so. Breach I’m lucky to get 30-40. Don’t get me started on 60hz. 2. Why are the greater/perfect jeweler orbs so rare? I’m running 4+ tower corrupted irradiated 6 affix T15s with extremely high rarity and quantity (150-200%+ rarity) and have found none. 4 divines total that I traded for said orbs. Have not found but a handful of 19 skill gems as well. 3. The act 3 “flash-bang”description seems to be related to a tree asset. Said asset exists in the canal hideout, you can replicate it quite easily, just approach the lone tree and watch as your screen begins to flicker. 4. Trials are just not fun. I easily outlvl the 3rd and can’t be bothered to do it. I don’t understand the design decision to lock ascendancy behind two very poorly received leagues now that I’ve lurked the boards the way I have. 5. +1 to loot filter and/or better colors and bigger text size for currency especially. Trials isn’t just about out lvling the content Assuming your doing sanctum it’s important to get 75% honor resistance and other relics that increase your max honor defenses,hp. All these things factor in to the mechanic. Something I can agree with you is that this mechanic shouldn’t be tied to ascension. You shouldn’t have to gear an entirely different system to progress a character’s natural progression. As much as lab was hated I am sure most people would want to run labs now that they have experienced trials. Personally I think izaro was well done he scaled with you and you had a few more things to learn after every encounter.
