No need. Let's say they use programs and lying about this (why for?). But two different trade programs, and one of them is open source from an author who has been developing and posting things on GitHub for a long time. Are both programs simultaneously hacked independently of each other? How's real it can be? Is it really more possible than data leak or security problem that already happened in 2018 (or whatever year)?
It's all good, however this is all based that everyone in this thread is telling the truth. Why would anyone lie you ask?
1. Shame.
2. Want their shit back.
3. Put the blame on GGG so they get their shit back.
4. If they even mentioned they used Third party then they're disqualified from getting their shit back.

Now my problems are I'm getting constant crashes and they should fix it already. It's getting annoying. I'm not here as an agent of anyone. I just got nothing better to do, and hopefully someone who reads my posts will protect their accounts better in the future.

You don't leak 100-500 accounts. You leak A HELL OF A LOT MORE.
With how many people bought the game? Millions of redeems? You think only a handful will come to complain if there was a leak?
I'm just going for the most obvious thing.
Obviously you were hacked. Nobody is denying it. Nobody is denying you were harmed.
But honestly, what are you hoping to accomplish here?
Did you not regain access to your account?
Should go through support.
You could tell how far people will go to get relief from this by reading the posts here. Like the one who posted a wall of text about how GGG are actually liable by law and can get sued.
In my mind, I see this as applying pressure just to get your shit back because of a mistake you made.
PS: I was also accused of not reading the threads, but I went through all 18 pages before my first post. I simply didn't address it, but it just kept coming, even though me saying this will be shrugged off and not believed, just how I dont buy the entire story here.

Today my account was also hacked, absolutely all items from the character were stolen. Good things from the trade tabs were stolen. I have never had problems with passwords, they are not simple, I have never encountered anything like this. My experience just died. And I, as a person who supported the game for many years, have my own fortune-telling card and everything, I must hear, sorry, it happens. I am honestly in such a fury that words simply cannot describe. I don’t even know what to do next. This is probably the final tilt.
PS I only used overwolf.

I didn't use literally anything. I'm sure it was just my ancient forum login getting pwned, or, less likely, something on GGG's side, there's just no other reasonable explanation. I manage six figures of crypto on my PC and keep it extremely secure so I've just got no answers for people.
As far as I'm concerned the "league" is just done for me at this point.

All that can be done is speculation. Currently, it seems like there's only a small number of players who are gaining access to other players' accounts, otherwise as you said, everyone would be getting hacked not just 100-500 players (not sure if this number is accurate but it's for sure not 100k). We do not know HOW people are getting hacked. You can say 100 reasons but no matter how many you list, we will not know until GGG investigates it properly, if they're even planning to do so. You can't say that any reason is impossible, because it seems like only a few hackers are involved so even if they had full access to all the accounts, they couldn't hack every account due to limited time.

I had 1 strange trade, someone bought a crossbow from me for 1 divine orb. He cancelled the trade and just ran around my house like a "Bot" for 15 minutes, I was running cards the whole time. He suddenly writes to me again and buys out the crossbow (we spent a long time in the trade with him, because he was stupid, I don't know what to call it). After the trade, he ran around for another 10 minutes and I didn't see him anymore. This is the strangest thing I've seen in the league, everything else was fine.

This hacking issue CAN be from insecure passwords and it usually is. It CAN be because of literally anything. Even if 3rd party programs didn't cause every hack, 3rd party programs could cause some of them. WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. There have been hacks that seem to have got through common security methods so it's at least worth giving the problem more attention than usual.
But I don't think we can solve the problem. It seems like literally anyone can get hacked, so the thread doesn't have much point. Just have to GGG fixes things and asks us for information when they aren't sure about something, instead of just saying everything is fine and assuming everyone else is wrong. There are clear mysteries like HOW CAN AN ACCOUNT BE UNLOCKED WITH NO ACCESS TO EMAIL BY THE HACKER.
Maybe its just better for some ppl to be able to blame someone else. Even this post of yours is absurd - yeah sure buddy because i tell you what you dont want to hear im obviously some third party doing evil shemes in a random forum thread. But i guess that fits perfectly in the general narrative here ...
And again third party programs etc. are probably 10% of those problems. 99% is way more basic - people simply have unafe passwords, or use them on multiple sites or for years. Or ppl fall for pishing logging in on faked sites etc.
Also you shouldnt everything ppl write on the internet at face value.

Also since some seem to want to phrase it that way - no im not saying ppl are stupid etc. for getting hacked - that can happen to anyone in lots of ways. I just think it doesnt help anyone to mainly make up some theories that are highly unlikely and state as if those were the most logical answer.
So for anyone that got hacked - change your passwords etc. and hopefully you will get your stuff back. Sadly looking at my own Support-Response times you will probably be in for a long wait ...

Was it a password you used before for anything else?
Anyways change your passwords, do a virus scan just to be sure.
But you should be in for a long wait for support replys.
Btw. i know it sucks but try to see it from another perspective - this is EA this will never be in normal Standard and there will be new EA leagues if i remember correctly. If you had fun with the game once you will have fun with it again.
And maybe they could add 2FA as an option for ppl and other things like IP restrictions for fast/weird region-change etc.

Your statement would be absolutely correct, but this thing is already relatively widespread. So "old passwords" are not the issue. Apparently, only a small number of people know about such a loophole, so it is not such a widespread problem that it affects every second person.
