Game is dropping like a stone

But this doesn't help anything.

Your opinion is already valid and important. Just give it! You don't need to try and use data to justify it.

Facts. Bump.
Gambling addiction means that I win more than you do.
This entire snafu with MF, endgame being a rash of bullshit rare mods, and other assorted things reminds me of Kalandra.

I'm pretty sure the dropoff is comparable to it too.
Agreed.

Did all the pinnacles multiple times and was fun for the first few times but now completely stale.

Played multiple builds that shred the endgame but not satisfying at all since nothing to strive for.

Endgame atlas is complete dogshit and horrible. Best and really only solution is pick a direction either up or down and never go back, unless you like scrolling for 5 minutes.

Farmed a ton of currency because MF is terribly overtuned and essentially required.

Crafting is absolutely trash. Methods are out of reach for majority of players.

Guild and friends have all quit already with EA to be 6 months long...and has nothing to do with the holidays. Either the game is too punishing, too boring, or in my case, nothing to really progress endgame to achieve.

Sadly, this is just a packaged ruthless game with fresh paint. Unfortunately, most issues are most likely not to be addressed because it is the core vision of POE 2. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong and they can reel it back to what made POE 1 so successful and great. We shall see in the later parts of next year.

As for me, I cannot with good conscious support GGG any further financially as POE 2 has been a disaster of a sequel, at least at this time.

Now all I really want to know is when's the new POE 1 league dropping because I want to play an enjoyable AARPG.
what are you all talking about , that is how games work since games existed.

game comes out , a lot of people come in coz of the hype after a few months only fanboys are left . this is normal this is how it works.

there are stand out cases like fortnite and league of legends and some others .
but those are well you know what they are .
do you want that for poe? just so it can have massive numbers ?

only thing i agree with , the game is not in the state where you can call it a job well done and go on a holiday .

For the people not playing meta builds, another brick wall will be found in late maps, as you die constantly and brick your XP gain.

This is exactly why I stopped playing.

Endgame is literally wasting my time. I spent hours to level up and kept dying and stucked at the same level. I just kept going backwards. I tried to be better but death reasons are just some random dudes cahrging at me outside of my screen and one shot me. Or some smoke obstructs my vision and I cannot see the debufs on the ground because they are invisible. I lose my maps, i lose my loots, i lose xp and i lose my time. my luck was not good on crafting. done many maps and not got a single good loot. unable to trade items because cannot afford them.
+1 After 200hrs I'm done, all the best GGG fixing this mess.

Besides all the problems that already exist in campaign (crafting, loot and currency drop, class balance, minion AI etc), endgame doesn't solve any of our problems but add a TON of other things that you have to put up with.

3rd and 4th trials, map layout, random off-screen or on-death one shots, 1 death bricking map, even more layers of rng gambling, sustaining maps, doing 10th, 50th delirium, breach or expedition or ritual (a lot of people wouldn't even attempt ritual after the Xth time they get insta-killed by poor spawn location and bad rewards) and then look back at what I've been rewarded and realizing it's next to nothing compared to the time investment. This is MMO-level time sink and very hardcore much worse than Souls games punishment/reward ratio and NONE of the power fantasy this looter RPG genre is supposed to be about.

Like I'm struggling to think of a single thing about the endgame that's actively very fun and makes me want to play more instead of less. Back in poe1 I had so much fun during the delve league, and right now none of the carry-over league mechanics feel like fun or rewarding.
i find it funny that all the "this is fine" people always argue only "at the moment" numbers and cant seem to grasp the realities of trends combined with needs of F2P live service model game

they take numbers at theyr absolute value and cant seem to comprehend that for what it is PoE2s current downward trend is absolutely NOT fine

especially considering this is the time of a year where most games experience growth the PoE2 is experiencing pretty hard crash ...

and of course they always compare the game to single player titles that sell for $60+ instead of live service competition ...

the closest comparable game to the PoE2 EA would be Helldivers 2 - similar playerbase numbers, live service model etc ... and when one compares these two games even with PoE2s advantage of releasing in the best possible part of the year for sales the picture looks pretty bleak ... when even Helldivers2 with its controversy and mismanagement (nerf everything fun ... sounds familiar to anyone ? ...) managed to at least go for 2 months before starting to fall off and PoE2 cant manage even 3 weeks before hitting 50% of its peak something somewhere is NOT going well ...

the numbers PoE2 is presenting are literally what one would expect from one and done singleplayer title - something that is nonviable for what is supposed to be FREE TO PLAY title ...

That's exactly what I said on the previous page. Despite the random off screen 1 shots, I did about another 10 maps today (I'm in a country that's basically business as usual on Christmas) and could hardly sustain maps without wasting time and money reforging. The game's not difficult, just tedius and extremely unrewarding to the point you're actively aware in a lot of situations that the game is forcing you to waste time meaninglessly. You DO NOT retain the vast majority of casual players (time wise, not skill wise) designing a game like this.
With the announcement of the next major update, thousands of those who "quit" will be back to try again. The numbers are pretty meaningless at this stage. This is all going to happen again when the game actually launches.

PoE2 has survived 12 years with shitty looking numbers every fucking league so the company understands it's business model unlike the vast majority of 'net know-nothings. I see all the support badges here on the forum - yeah they know what they are doing business wise.
