Path of Exile 2 Mana Cost Issue
I'm pretty sure it's intended. "You can get +20 to all skills, but you'll need to pay a price for doing so" is probably the mindset. Otherwise, they'd just tune it down to PoE 1 levels, meaning you'd never have +6 skills from weapon + offhand.
It's part of the game balance. Invest into mana nodes, or remove + skills from your gear. |

Balancing mana consumption is a part of nearly every build. If you stack +lvls so much that you can't sustain uptime, then that's an issue with your build not the game.

" That's a problem I have with the current status quo; the "good" endgame builds are often BS anyway and much less "legit" than "bad" ones requiring more mana than is available. What is BS is most of you people who complain about mana substain because you decided to completely ignore Mana Leech . So either you go for Time-Lost buffs , Mana on Kill , the unique that grant Mana on Hit , or whatever . The mechanics are what they are , mana substain is a big part of designing a good build , GGG should not lower the bar here .
