" I think somewhere along the way the devs started conflating "difficulty" with "punishment". Trials are a great example. It's not enough you just wasted 60 minutes trying to clear floor 3 of sekhema - you also have to lose your djinn barya so go spend 4 hours finding another one. It's not enough to lose your waystone after dying a single time to a very hard to see on ground effect - you also remove everything that's fun on the atlas node. I really wonder who was responsible for these decisions... you can`t even revive a Partymember in a Map.
Also these Trials and that Honor System, totally annoying Gatekeep for an essential Character Progression, this is pure Madness! Casuals have eaten my Hobby

I'm kinda ok with it but the current lag on EU servers and the shitty performance in a lot of maps makes it feel awful tho

Definetly one of the BEST features of PoE2.
At least like that rampant glasscanon players get what they deserve, and people copying streamer's build without understanding the game and not knowing how to play get punished accordingly. Love it, don't ever change it. |

" Considering even tanky built characters can still get randomly one shotted it basically encourages the playstyle of glasscanon players. Basically farm quicker so when you do get one shotted its not as big of a lose as a slower tanky character getting one shotted more often. |

I play witch, tryed around with all the summons and the only ones that i liked where my doggo and the reavers. Would have loved a bunch of archers snipping everything but i cant get them to shred mobs and bosses without me using their skill all the time and than i wonder why i didnt just play a sorc if i have to blast suff myself...^^
That being sad i only found 2 of those trial maps and im now lvl 76 doing 6-7 maps and i died in my 2 runs to some traps and some random minnor boons i got before reaching the 3ed boss so idk yet wwhat he does and i dont look stuff up its fun to figure it out urself, but i cant when i dont have the maps ~~ and dont wanna trade... For the map part its stupid to hav only 1 try, nobody in their right mind would love this mechanic or atleast give us at the end the loot in some chest that we couldnt pick up. I mean there is a hardcore mode alrdy for the people who have the time to play it. Its rly hard what audience they try to reach i played all Darkfall and Mortal Online games and they population of those games never reached a healthy level with full loot and no real punishment for the griefers. Never played a Souls game but that are the 2 games who currently feel similar to PoE2 who comes to my mind. |

im not ok with it and if it makes it to the final game PoE2 will just be a niche product for ARPG diehard fans and a play once and forget game for the masses. Its beyond me where that decision came from. PoE1 already was on the edge between game/job. If they make PoE2 into a game thats only really playable in endgame for people who can afford to game 10hrs every day itll fail badly imo

1 try map is just unfun, I really hope they will make a change.
The most annoying thing for me is when I am at the last rare or boss and i get 1 shot i loose all the progress and i don't get that many waystones so i can progress and i don't have enough resources so i can go trade for other waystones...it's just not fun gameplay... |
