How does GGG plan to make money?
Someone in those replies claimed PoE 1 would be abandoned because of PoE 2!
That is some ridiculous take on a game that has been continually growing in popularity, that's never had a wider playerbase than during this league launch. They would give up on a very successful game that keeps getting more popular because they put out a second title. Come on now, the two games are different, they can both sustain their own audience. People will definitely be playing both. Also, when does this even happen that game companies stop caring about their successful games. As we've seen now, what happen instead is games released over 20 years ago that are still played get an overhaul. They don't just vanish because new things come out. When have a successful game ever been taken down while it is growing more popular? What kind of business sense would that make? |

" Currency tab lets currencies be put into one slot and stack up to 5,000 each. Saves you playing tetris with all your currencies and they end up taking "less" space due to the larger stack size. More regular tabs or quad tabs are good for selling things via trade since you can mark an entire tab to be up for sale for a set price. e.g. everything in one tab could be set to be listed for 1ex if it's inside it. A few of these are great for trade. Other tabs like frags, divinations and so on are /mostly/ QoL, but do end up being more efficient storage-wise, but currency tab is the one that is an absolute must. 5,000 Wisdom scrolls will take up a 250 slots, or just 1 currency tab slot. |

" Thanks man I will definitely look into getting a currency tab. I hope that there is an easier way to do trading on thePS5 in the future as it’s a big pain to use the browser on the console . |

Dude, cosmetics are a huge deal in most online games. People buy them like hot cakes.
With each league in POE 1 they also release new supporter packs; usually 2 sets with opposing themes, and each one having 3 tiers 30-60-90$. People buy those like candy. Also each year they change the core packs and people buy the 500$ one like it's a necessity. Never underestimate the power of cosmetics and MTX in general. There's a reason every gaming company out there wants to focus on them. |

" GGG is owned by Tencent through subsidiary company called six joy. Tencent is a multi-billion company that owns many, many, many gaming IP's. Think of it as a conglomerate of AAA studios. They are not exactly "in need of money", and as it stands money flows in like a river. In the case of GGG, and the few droplets it adds, it's going to be through cosmetics and vaults. Don't worry about it. GGG is doing fine. POE2 will eventually replace POE imho. It's going to look a lot like the Diablo franchise. The majority of players move into the newest IP while a selection of players remain playing the previous iterations. |
