[PoE2] Map reset after death should go !!
Hello there,
I do NOT care whenever I die in-game, but the map always resets after death. Though the map keeps unrevealed. This should go and is the MOST annoying part in PoE2 !! If I want to reset a map, then there is an option through the Traveling Waypoint and Map by hitting a tele location with CTRL. A map reset after death does not only interrupt progress and gameplay and wastes time, but can also soft-lock players out from the campaign and final boss. Talking especially about ACT2 final boss, first part, where a checkpoint is highly missing!! If died players have to do and re-do the WHOLE first part again, clearing a WHOLE map again and again... The second part of the ACT2 final boss includes a checkpoint at least .. I like to use and especially to enjoy my time to unreveal and clear each map, loot and grind everything. But after death all mobs return. Dropped missed loot is gone in general besides quest items. Champion and minibosses are gone and turn into regular mobs, too. Just by now in ACT3 "SECOND MAP", a Silverback ONE SHOT my Sorc after I had cleared and revealed 99% of that whole map ... It did ONESHOT me .. Not even a final ACT boss does this !! Not only this whole infested poison mobs in ACT3 are hurting "a lot", but one shotting is too much .. This and resetting a map after death clearly is un-fun. I just made my first ragequit after 40~ hours of gameplay .. Well, it ALWAYS feels as all progress is gone and reverted, besides gaining XP, needs to re-do this map again and maybe again and again again and I really refuse to re-do this whole map again and again .. it is annoying as heck, always !! I need to 100% clear each map, as this is my persona. It sux. After death a map should stay cleared as far as current progress has been before death .. If players want to re-do a map as ALL mobs return in full strength, there is this mentioned and helpful feature to teleport to a location with CTRL .. If mobs fully return and even switch from champions to regular but map stays unrevealed, this is some sort of a non-sense for me .. Please change this, and lower the difficulty (poison/one shots) in ACT3 .. Thank you .. Besides all that, PoE2 is really polished and optimized in performance. I'm super conflicted because genuinely I do agree that map reset on death sucks. Drowned City in particular legit had me angry.
The amount of mobs that they throw at you on top of the water orb of death, is ludicrous. Now don't get me wrong I do enjoy mob density but after my build getting axed, dying in this map that is FREAKING MASSIVE as I tried to find the exit....having to RE FIGHT MOBS TIME AFTER TIME got incredibly frustrating. Deffo would be nice to have an option to reset the map or have it reset if the instance is new instead. | |

Seems this game is a pure gambling simulator. Definitely going back to POE1, where at least there is some control over several gameplay/crafting aspects. |

Or at least don't delete the ground loot. I'm fine if the monsters revive. Deleting loot in arpg is cardinal sin |

Only thing more annoying than the map resetting is losing my loot. Why can I not return to where I just was to pick up my stuff?
