Addressing your Early Access Post-launch Feedback
PoE 1 had abysmal balance for the vast majority of its lifespan.
PoE 2 takes that(somewhat expectedly) to another galaxy. Balance in this context refers to active abilities and the passive tree. On top of that for some reason items have been "reworked"(this is code for nerfed into oblivion or SOP at GGG HQ) to such a degree that for me personally this doesn't qualify as an aRPG anymore. It's trying to be something but im not quite sure what that is at this point. As a third point of critique .. controls within your engine are not precise enough and the "pacing" is off. Also to much rng elements within the encounters and as per usual visual clarity is extremely poor at times. Free consulting right here, if i were you guys i'd be abandoning the ego/hubris attitude asap and change course. On it's current trajectory PoE2 will be a bellyflop and music to Blizzard(and many others within the industry that i know firsthand would LOVE to see you guys fail). Don't give them that satisfaction :( Also .. no other torch left burning in the genre as of now so this is "our" last stand. " Please take note players need to be encouraged to interact with chests and kill rare mobs. It might be a good idea to take the most straightforward way, "color dependent drops". When I open a yellow chest, I automatically assume I will get at least one rare item, same for rare mobs, when I kill a rare I expect at least one rare item to drop. This is what gives you the will to continue exploring for more rare chests and mobs. Gold drops should be normalised as well. It is so frustrating a random normal mob drops 476 gold and a rare drops none or 3. |

Good changes, it's worth noting that this is still Early Access. There will be tweaks along the way. I have faith in GGG and their vision for POE2.

Please don't forget about minions :(

The checkpoint problems are not because we have to traverse the map again. It's because we have to traverse the map again WHILE FIGHTING ALL THE MOBS. It takes forever, is daunting and feels like unnecessary punishment.
This has a side effect of often respawning at checkpoints which are already surrounded by mobs which means theres zero breathing room and a high likelyhood of dying AGAIN, especially if a nasty rare pack spawns. It's a slog and honestly the biggest point of frustration for me. |

There was an issue where the "Move Only" command was namelocking. This would often result in your character confusingly attacking in an unexpected direction while holding down this action....
i knew it i knew this was a bs bug... thank god for the fix... but the sizes of the maps in campaign needs a massive reduction... im on act 2 and sick of every map being the size of texas.... literally made me stop playing today.... |
|
Please do something about the health bar for bosses. It’s massive and occludes boss mechanics when the boss is above the player.

Hi! Thanks your hard work and your listening! I keep supporting you be cause this gameis awesome!
Thanks you fixed the " Move only " bug. This was in my report list and you fixed it. The random autoattack and stopping was so wird. Thanks again! I did a report list but you fixed 90% of my list. |
|
Please let us disable auto aim.. it's terrible. When there's on monster around all I can target is my bell but when I'm swarmed it's more of a challenge to hit my bell than just kill the horde..

Thanks for the update!
I have serious concerns about the trials though. You have picked 2 of the hardest and least popular league mechanics for ascendencies - Sanctum and Ultimatum. I am worried about what the 3rd one will be, as well. Might I suggest each act have TWO options to ascend? In act 3, in addition to Ultimatum, why not also include a form of Incursion? That thematically works. Perhaps modify Betrayal into an act 2 trial like you did for Sanctum. The different Betrayal tracks can be the Sekhemas testing you. And if indeed the 3rd ascendant trials is a modified form of trial of the ancestors, maybe the parallel track can be Delve? I think people want options, and this is a good way to bring things back in. |
