[PoE 2] Cannot enter map (discconect upon clicking portal)

Seems to be a public Map device problem only.
If you start from a personal hideout, you can avoid this entirely, so your best bet is reaching your hideout on a map node and claiming it, either on your own, or with someone's help, or coughing up another 70 bucks for a supporter pack that gives you a hideout. Reached mapping today and I've had this on two separate nodes (out of about 8!). Thanks for those that gave tips in prior comments to workaround. |

I am having the same issue. I put a waystone in and the portals come up. I load the instance and it just crashes. My PC is great and have been able to run everything at max graphics with no issue. Internet connection is great. I can load into maps from my friend's hideout just fine with them, so thankfully I can do that for now.

If you exit to character select screen and relog onto the same character then put a waystone in the map device it won't crash, you have to repeat this every time, works 100% of the time with me and a friend, hope this helps someone.

Maps are currently unplayable. The game ends at act 6. It's a shame because it was awesome. GGG doesn't respond to this topic, which is a pity.
