Finally uninstalled PoE2... the wave of relief is crazy!

I'm not, yet, sure, if I like POE2. Sure, there's obvious things .. grfx are a bit better, music is still not bad, it's an ARPG, still has a huge devl tree (which in the end only will produce a few used builds though, like poe1).

What I didn't like in act 1 personally is that evertything just swarms you. The moment enemies see you, they're over you and it's a brawl. I enjoyed sniping in POE1 with ED/Contagion etc. It was slow, since you dodn't run through everything and instaexplode the world with other builds, but it felt somehow awarding to be the negative energy ghost. In Act2 a few slower hulks and zombies join the fray .. bit better. POE2 feels a bit to hectical atm, a giant klickfest of abilities. Sure, there's some people, that like that. That's fine, to each their own, but I wish I could play this a bit more peaceful than just being in a constant clusterfuck of mobs, especially as a which and not a tank.

Boss fights are ... doable so far, with ED bolts and a few minions, but I did need to grind it to max first, so all gems were level 5 for the act 1 boss and I had all necessary support gems and found two items with +1 to all minion gems. Otherwise, the bosses HP lasts enough so one of the fog phases or lightning beams gets you randomly .. it's not just skill there, whatever the fanbois and boasters say.

So far I'm willing to look a little further in POE2, especially since it's in beta.
it's so funny to me to just self-report your skill issue like this
See ya!
I have been crashing for the last few leagues on poe 1 on my new giga pc because the default cpu settings were wrong -_-... i just figured out how to fix it and playing poe 1 for 2 seconds felt like heaven compared to poe 2..

Now I hope they undo a lot of changes from over the last 5 years that have ruined poe 1 for me so I can enjoy it again.

funny to me to see the toxic poe community do its thing while putting a mask on acting like you're all super happy and welcoming.

the second some one thinks differently than you it's rage time

Nothing wrong with PoE 2 is unfixable. In the next 6 months I'm sure it will get to a good state.

it is if the devs released the game the way they want it.. the devs are what needs fixing. with ruthless as the beta and all the changes made to poe 1 over the years, this is what they wanted.

the games had plenty of betas and in development for 7 years. they know what they're doing. EA means nothing except a scapegoat for the feedback they knew they'd get.

These aren't PoE players but people who pickup a game and leave after they 'completed' it. They also don't return every other league like alot of veterans do.

In its current state it will be deserted before it comes out of EA.

I never played poe1…why is most of the hate coming from poe1 players?

I'd suspect because PoE1 players are who carried GGG to the point they can make PoE2 and a lot of PoE1 players feel GGG crapped on them with PoE2. For the most part they are correct. As a successor to PoE1 this game misses the mark by a lot. Does that mean it's a bad game? Opinions are what they are.

Baldurs Gate 3 was in no way a true successor to BG2/1, and at launch (Early Access) it was horrible in many ways. Larian worked and fixed it and todays game doesn't even resemble, from a companion and game play standpoint not graphics and such standpoint, the Early Access version. Much like PoE1 doesn't now resemble the game that started a decade ago with only three acts as well.

Exactly, and it's a lack of respect to PoE1 players to tell them 'You don't like the 2? Go back to the 1" when we have literally funded the development of a PoE2 that wasnt even directed at us.

With this "PoE for casuals/dummies", i'm curious to see how all these new players will support PoE2 for years like PoE1 players did with PoE1 for more than 10 years...

Maybe the fact that as of March 25, the game and company GGG is 100% owned by SIXJOY HONG KONG LIMITED, a subsidiary of Tencent and that former owners Christopher W., Jonathan R., and Erik O. have sold all their shares to SIXJOY are a major role in this PoE2...
