Bloodmage [EA] - "Sanguine Bonemage" - Phys/Crit Build (+ some Bleed/Break)
3rd major update on the original post is up! Dropped the passive point tentacle that took us to the Resilient Soul node, saving us a lot of points for even more cit chance and damage, amour break, bleed, and life recoup! This keeps use more viable into the late game. Also got rid of dedicating so much of the build to Power Charge generation, as it hurt our kill speed more than it helped. The next major update to this build will probably come when Reap and/or Exsanguinate are added to the game. The items these skills appear on (Reaping Staff and Offer Wand) seem to be not droppable.

" It can help before you have good gear for +damage on your bone spells. But I haven't seen those roll good stats for spells so far. Just always treat it as a temp fix and look for spell and phys damage gear. Last edited by Chavic_13#1710 on Dec 13, 2024, 9:39:17 AM

" You end up with +60% mana regen in this build, but most of it comes online later. Keep from getting too many +spell levels early. You can also path into Open Mind near the starting point early and re-spec out later once other mana options are online. Otherwise, adding mana on hit or kill from gear. |

I haven't tested it myself yet but i've been seeing people say Fork is a gamechanger for bonestorm, though im not sure which gem it should replace, also for future passive pathing, curious if pathing southwest for the extra leech and bleed nodes might be worth it after picking up the armor break bleed nodes up north... but at the same time its pretty far out of the way so idk

" Thanks! When I played around with Fork, it seemed to drop my damage vs. bosses/rare more than expected. On the bug forums, some people are claiming it reduces damage before the fork as well, so that might be it. One to keep an eye on though. I'm also going to be watching how the bug reports work out on Heft. Otherwise, I will be testing Cold Infusion and Considered Casting as options as well. |

Thanks! Combining this build with the other build. Seems to work pretty good.
U say cold infusion on Bone storm, but it doesnt allow to put it on this skill. Last edited by luckeyluc#4341 on Dec 13, 2024, 3:56:50 PM

" Sorry, pulled from my list of gem combos to try. Should be fixed now. |

This thread has become very confusing. Can you drop a current passive tree link because there are now so many passive tree links.
Are you looking for armour, evasion, energy shield? I don't see anywhere it has been addressed. whats the long term ideal skill gem setups. Most of your gems only have two slots used up. |

Been running something similar. Level 70, in early maps. Couple notes from what I've learned that maybe help the questions in this thread
For power charge generation I've been pulling from two sources: - Power Siphon (wand): Profusion - Soul Drain - Life Drain - Profane Ritual: Unleash!!!! - overabundance - corpse conversion Unleash is clutch here and what made profane ritual kind of annoying to easy max power charges -> aoe. Other goal is to minimize the ritual time so i can weave between bonestorm casts. |

About scattershot:
I've done a bit of math to figure out what the tooltip shows based on the gem info, skill tree bonuses and gear without any other added modifiers. It's definitely just reporting the DPS per projectile and when you factor in scattershot, the numbers still only reflect one projectile of damage, except for 'projectiles fired per stage' changes to 3. I don't think you'll get exactly three times the dps the tooltip reports: - you'll spend more time between volleys - not all projectiles seem to hit on full volleys (unless some boss or big pack) - not sure how enemy resistances play in for many small damage shots versus fewer large shots. Also not sure how this might affect armor break/staggering. Tl;dr on scattershot, I still seem to think that scattershot is biggest dps scaling gem for bonestorm. But would love to hear some feedback otherwise. |
