Same thing here, except I can continue the normal story.
but cannot do the ascendency. I did get a lvl 52 drop from from traitor, but that just acted as a normal trial coin |

I tried to run Cruel Act2 and failed the 2nd part of the trial. Cant get another coin now and the quest is still there. |

From what I can see, everyone saying that you need to get the drop from maps and it must have 3 trials etc.. this is correct, however, you are missing the point. Because the quest is not able to be completed on Cruel (due to the boss not dropping a quest item coin I would suppose), you never actually unlock the trial of the sekhema on cruel, it appears on the map, but it's the normal version (if you check the map and go to Act 2 Cruel, you'll see the WP there but notice it says 'monster level 22'
If you do insert a level 60+ coin, you'll be able to do the trial at monster level 6x, but beating the boss leads you to an unclickable statue (presumably because you already did the normal version of this for Ascendancy 1) The short of it is: Due to the quest not being completable, Trial of the Sekhema zone and WP for Act 2 Cruel does not unlock, and inserting any coin into the Normal version of the Area leads only to the first Ascendancy trial again, even if it increases the monster level and drops accordingly. I AM ERROR

" Just to clarify, when you say beating "the boss," can I assume you beat the boss on the THIRD floor? Because if you only beat the same boss you beat on Normal, that's not the end of the trial. You should be able to open the pair of silver doors at the end of the first floor to get to the second. I've been doing my 5x trials to stash up relics and have not tried any of my 6x ones yet but I've had no issues getting to the end of the second floor on the 5x ones. |
