Bug Report: Performance Issues with DirectX 12 and Vulkan on High-End Hardware

I´m facing the same issue.
Tried updating the BiOS to latest, but no change at all.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
GPU: 4070
System: Win 11 24H2

Everything runs the latest versions.

GGG please resolve this asap.
Hey guys, i had the same issue, seems like Kaspersky have some compability problems with PoE2.
Once i've deleted my Kaspersky antivirus game started working normally on DX12 and Vulcan.
Hope this will help y'all.

UPD. Problem with lags happened again... Kaspersky wasn't the issue...

RTX 2080, i7-9700k, 32gb ram, same exact issue. Game was running fine until last night, today I turned on the pc without any update of any kind and the framerate is stuck at roughly 22fps in both DirectX 12 and Vulkan, but runs up to 120 in DirectX 11 although its still unplayable due to frame drops and lag spikes every time there are enemies or effects on screen.
Tried changing Nvidia drivers, uninstall the Nvidia app, reinstalling it, verify game files, clearing cache, updating my BIOS, everything with a PC restart in between yet nothing fixed it so far. It's clearly a bug considering the fact that all other games run perfectly fine and the framerate doesn't go up even if I lower my settings and resolution to the minimum possible. Please fix, it makes the game literally unplayable

EDIT: FOUND A FIX. Its so stupid but it worked, I unplugged and replugged my GPU and my RAM in and now the bug is gone. Its so weird but it worked. Replugging the RAM may not be necessary tbh, I just did both to be sure

I tried the gpu/ram reseating fix you recommended, but didn't have the same success. Did you use different slots for either your ram or GPU?
Fun fact: i checked reddit, certain players in poe 1 had the same problem with vulkan and DX12 8 mounths ago xdd
Just wanted to comment that i had this exact issue where i was capped to around 50fps using dx12 but dx11 was fine. I found that my 4060 was only reading as PCIE x1 4.0 instead of x8 4.0.

You can check using nvidia control panel > system info or gpuz. You should see x8 or x16 4.0 on rtx cards, 3.0 for older.

A bios update was the only fix for me though a gpu reseat may solve the issue and ofcourse make sure its in the top slot.

I have also been experiencing these problems for a few days. I have tried several things:
- Bios update
- Update drivers / install older ones / reinstall current ones
- Uninstall and reinstall Nvidia Experience
- Disable Xbox Gamebar
- Check game file for errors
- Activate high performance mode in Windows
- Shadow Chace set to unlimited in Nvidia settings
- Different renderer types (Directx 11/12 ; Vulcan)

and unfortunately nothing fixed my problem.
My specs:
Nvidia 4070ti
Intel Core I7 12700K
32 GB 4000 MHz DD4 Ram

After checking dozens of forum posts, i stumbled over @darknuub#7440 Contribution an checked for my PCIe connection. Reconnecting the GPU didnt help in my case, switching PCIe Ports didn't help aswell.

Please share your thoughts.

Just thought I'd add in since I am having the same issue

So no matter what settings I use I will not get higher than 30FPS even in menus.
I've messed around with game settings and settings in windows 10 so to make sure that my RTX card is being used and I can verify it is but neither my GPU or CPU get above 20% usage ever during gameplay. I've attached a screenshot of my metrics in game.

PC Specs:
OS: Windows 10 most up to date
CPU - i5-13420H
GPU - RTX 4050 Laptop - 6GB VRAM - Newest Driver
RAM - 32 GB DDR5
Storage - 4TB gen 4 NVME

Update I seem to have found a fix for me anyway, apparently avast antivirus was the issue I disabled it and now I'm running about 80FPS fairly smoothly.

If only I could try this but I'm on a laptop and that's where I'm having issues finding help cause everyone else is posting about desktop issues unfortunately.

SOLUTION:
Just wanted to add a reply here that updating my bios to the newest stable version fixed this problem for me. Hopefully it can help others as well. I'm not sure if this is the only fix or if the problem can come from other sources so no guarantee it fixes it for your particular system. Checking your chipset drivers could also be worthwhile.

That fixed it for me. Finally DX12 120 FPS gaming
