Game crashes when loading into new areas - POE 2
still happening for me as well

Same thing is still happening, and upon reboot my 4090 is set to PCIe x1 4.0, and I have to reboot again to fix it. I don't see any streamers with this problem, I don't know what it is, but it's been happening since day 2.

I saw a post on steam, where the user suggested disabling the multi-threaded option before each loading screen. Then you have to re-able it after the loading screens. I have had decent success with that, but it's annoying AF

Same issue, more or less. When starting up the game or when changing zone the game causes the entire system to freeze, forcing me to reset the PC. I also have a 4090, 7800x3d cpu and I think the rest of the hardware is irrelevant. I find almost everyone having this issue has a 4090, there has to be something wrong with it for some reason. I have to play on my 4060 laptop, as the 4090 desktop is unplayable and I am honestly also afraid of damaging the hardware.

POSSIBLE FIX
So I found this idea online somewhere and so far it has been working great. Navigate to the Steam folder where POE2 is installed. Should look like: Drive Letter\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile 2 Find the PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe file and right click. Go to Properties. Go to Compatability tab. Check box run as Admin and Check box run in compatability mode for Windows 8. Hit Apply and OK. Haven't had one crash yet since this change. Hopefully it works for you all. Best of luck! " This mostly worked for me, thank you! I lost about 25 FPS but went from crashing at 90% of loading screens to about 5% of loading screens now. Hope they fix this soon. |

" Same here, thought I soft locked my character. I tried all the suggestions about disabling cores and setting process affinity, verifying game files, etc. Nothing worked. I turned off Nvidia Reflex and I haven't had a crash yet. Specs RTX 4090 Ryzen 5800x3D 32GB DDR4 RAM Windows 11 |
