Hey guys just commenting a solution that worked for me, my specs are:
11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700F @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
32.0 GB RAM DDR4
Nvidia 3060 ti 8gb dedicated
Windows updated to current
Installed on SSD

Make sure to first reverify game files after pc turns off from hard crash
Change Fullscreen to windowed Fullscreen
Change from Directx12 to Vulkan
Change Nvidia Reflex to OFF
set fps cap
set background fps cap 30

so far i have had less instant crashes when loading in and have only crashed two times in the past 13hrs.

Yep, this tryed too with different variations, qualyty drops and others reco. And nope, CTD, plays another char now and freazed planned donation....
Looks like it drops on shaders or/and CPU usage overwhelmed (due to stat graphs from F1 and Task menager)
Pray for devs solution, mayby new drivers from AMD.

poe2 for me was crashing like 90% of time while loading locations, but working fine for few hours after bios upgrade, particulary cpu microcode 0x12b

I am having the same issue. When loading new areas, and sometimes when the game itself is launching during the loading screen, the game simply exits/crashes but there is no error code or crash message. It just disappears and I go back to my desktop.

I am on Windows 11 23h2 like many others here. I disabled hyperthreading in my BIOS, which was such a major issue I couldn't even launch the game until I disabled it.

I have Intel I9-14900KS and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090.

This crash happens constantly, to the point where the game is almost unplayable. Rebooting does not solve the issue and neither does any permutation of graphics settings etc.

I agree I am in a position where I have a very powerful PC and have spent hours troubleshooting this without success, and I am an engineer by trade. This is very odd that GGG won't make a statement or address the issue, its clearly quite common and has nothing to do with our configurations, its a bug in the Windows PoE 2 client. And why on earth would they not even code the client throw an error message that we can post here? Why would any piece of software just terminate silently when there is a crash? Makes zero sense.
New player, just started my game, about to enter Clearfell Encampment, and the game freezes the whole system. Sorry to find that there is no solution.
we shouldnt half to be pro IT players or computer geniuses to play a simple game. Having to download files change core adjust computer settings etc etc should not be a "US" issue to resolves and find work arounds to be able to play a basic ARPG. I play games with much greater requirements to play the games and have zero crash or issue with those games. ALL the people who scream its "Early access what you expect" are the real problem because they arn't pushing problems to get GGG's attention to get the game working properly they are just brushing it off as EA blah blah. Yes it's early access BUT this is a critical game functionality that HAS to be fixed above all priority's to even be able to play the game properly.
Today it just loaded wo crash. No updates of game, Win10, AMD or anything else. looks like some corrections on servers side? On just right moon phase? No idea.
However I cant risk my PC - game start to hard crashes before wo reasons [https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3594126/page/332]
So - waiting for official patches.

Exactly same here. Core i7 13700KF + RTX 4070Ti. NOTHING helps.
