Game crashes when loading into new areas - POE 2

The issue started for me after today's update, 80% of the time it leads me to main menu instead of entering a new area.. I just got into mapping and wasted first 2/3 maps because of this. GGG help!

Started happening today. Tried making multiple new characters. Game crashes every time I try to zone to Clearfell Encampment (Town). No errors. Game just stops at loading screen and shuts down.

Any solution to this? I can't play any maps, I lost all my waypoints at this point

I’m also experiencing the same issue, and it’s incredibly frustrating. With such a powerful PC, I shouldn’t be facing these kinds of problems in the game. It seems like this issue affects many players with different hardware setups, which suggests it might be more related to the game itself rather than individual compatibility or settings.
The developers need to address this urgently or at least provide an official response on the forum, letting us know they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. The fact that the Reddit community is so active with reports of this bug, with many players being affected, shows how serious this is. Whether it’s something in the game’s code or a recent update, this needs to be tackled quickly. I’d also suggest GGG prioritize this, as it’s damaging the overall player experience and could affect the game’s reputation. Hopefully, they will respond soon with either a fix or an update on their progress. |

I only started to get this problem after increasing my CPU clock so I guess it might be an issue that only happens on slightly instable systems. Maybe its a power draw spike?

Заходите в стиме в свойства игры PoE 2, во вкладке установленные файлы нажимаете, "проверить файлы на целостность", после проверки у меня нашло ошибку в 1 файле и потом всё заработало нормально.

i have the same issue.(computer crash randomly when trying to load any area)

Я нашел временный обходной путь, каждый раз когда загружаешься в любую локацию , нужно в настройках игры в самом внизу отключить мультизадачность процессора , и после загрузки включить обратно, так нужно делать каждый раз при смене локации в первых 2 актах, в 3 акте почему то все работает без проблем

Same issue here, every character ctd when trying to load zone they are in. new or old char, cant load anything just ctd.
