Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
I want to add my name to the list.
It always starts at the same time (like 7:30 p.m. german time) and goes for several hours. The game is literally unplayable. I choose Frankfurt as I login. I also tried different servers, but the lag spikes never stop. I noticed that the lag spikes, when I stay at the camp, are less fluctuative. As soon as I use a waystone and join a map, the lag spikes go crazy and it's literally unplayable. I never had any networking issues playing other games. But PoE2 is literally unplayable for me. The strange thing is that a friend, who is playing at the same times with me, does not have the lags. In my case the lag spikes started with one of the recent patches. It is frustrating that GGG does not respond to this. Maybe because we are not that many having these Problems... |

Yes, we are probably only a small fraction of all gamers. This problem will probably never be solved, since apparently it has been going on since poe1. But it would still be correct and appreciated if ggg gave us an answer on this matter.

Having the same issue.
Occasional lag spikes in certain instances make the game borderline unplayable. Lag spikes are somehow linked to certain instances in POE. Instances are either completely bricked or completely fine - there is no inbetween. Opening a new instance for a zone usually fixes the problem. Which you can't do for maps, obviously. Only solution is to abandon the map and load a new one. I do not experience this kind of lag in any other game. Apparently it is some kind of routing issue related to European ISPs, mostly German Telekom, or the infrastructure they use. There have been dozens of threads on reddit and in the forums over the last 10 years. This issue is as old as the game itself and it will likely never be solved. |

Hey everyone,
I am experiencing the same issue or some variation of it. My network latency is always under 20ms, Milan (EU) server but also tried Paris and Frankfurt to no avail. Whenever I enter a map I will immediately experience heavy and very frequent NETWORK lag spikes, quickly oscillating between the nominal 20ms to hundreds or thousands. This goes on for a couple of seconds every about 30 seconds, and it makes the game impossible to enjoy as I will be frequently dying and losing experience to this. I would otherwise have no issues farming T8-T9 Atlas maps, but this makes it impossible. I experience zero issues in other games and my network is proven stable (2.5gbps FTTH connection). Please GGG look into this issue as this will make it impossible for me to play the game (and pay more money :D). |

Getting lag spikes / stutter.
30ms to 1000ms+. Been a week or so. Could have appeared after new windows 11 patch or after latest game hotfix. Time of day doesnt seem to make a difference. Playing in maps but noticed it in campaign as well while going back for some reward quests. I can be sitting in hideout looking at this forum and I hear the sound of the game lagging indicating one of those spikes. Seems to happen randomly. tried so many different things -delete shader cache -verify game files -reinstall graphics driver -tweaked all sorts of in game settings (one at a time) -tweaked all sorts of nvidia panel settings (one at a time) -tried multiple servers (canada east, washington, california) -reset router -ethernet cable/wifi -shamefully tried launch options for steam rig: Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Version 10.0.26100 DirectX runtime version: DirectX 12 Driver: Game Ready Driver - 566.36 - Thu Dec 5, 2024 CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12650H RAM: 32.0 GB Storage: SSD - 1.8 TB GPU processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU |

From yesterday I experience again the same constant stuttering each second even at stable 40ms+.

Have the same problem. Seems that the servers are just overloaded

Same problem. Micro-stuttering on every 10 sec. More noticiable on zones with high mob density after hours playing (high spikes, the game freezes for a few seconds).
The latency is ok. Probably is a coding issue on the cpu / graphic card use. Need making a new test, disabling nvidia reflex (my game dont work well on nvivdia settings, like dlss, what causes PC locks up on loading screen after some minutes playing).
