Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

I am having this same issue but it's happening for a few seconds once every few minutes. Completely fine on framerate.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X (12) @ 5.484GHz
GPU: AMD ATI Radeon RX 7800 XT
Memory: 32gb DDR5 4800 MT/s
I have the same problem insane latency on some instances and then some instances are completely fine. Notices it while doing trials, I open a trial and if the latency is bad i close it and wait a few mins outside the trial, open again and its fine, its the same map layout and everything, so it has to do with the server, also noticed it happens more often during nights. I'm on a gigabit fiber connection here so no problem with my ISP. it has to do with servers and routing apparently.
Adding my name to the pile. Game is butter smooth during the day but prime time is unplayable with constant lag spikes every 2ms. This has been happening since a few weeks after launch. I have spent hours troubleshooting with nothing helping.

I am concerned how this is not on the list of urgent issues.

BTW this is the only MP game that has this issue. Not a system issue as the game plays perfectly fine outside of prime time.

100% same issue, and I agree-- this should be on the list of urgent issues... Too bad I can't play during those low-traffic times. =/

Same here (Germany). Got worse over the last few days. Unplayable (no matter which gateway) around prime time. Had to stop playing the last few days :/
Hope its due to maintainance stuff on server side which will be finished soon (fingers crossed).
Hello, I posted over in 2 other posts already and hope for GGG to see this.

I know why the stuttering happens but not the reason the routing is like it is.

So the authentication servers work fine but the issue is with the DDoS Protection of PoE2 (I am guessing it is theirs since it is the direct hop before going onto said instance server).

In the following picture you see me tracing the path from my router towards the Instance server I was given upon the connection to the game (IP taken from logs). I hid the first 4 hops (they are from my router towards my ISP and the first big network knot).

After that you do get routed towards a frankfurt IP Adress (I started in frankfurt) and then get send over to australia to a DDoS Protection (google the hosts name in the following picture) and then back towards frankfurt. This marks the game as UNPLAYABLE.

Little testing update:

Played at 8 AM on Milano Server. No Problems.

Tracert the routing to instance server. Getting send over the australian hop (DDoS Protection) again but this time no latency.

Seems that this is a capacity problem and for anyone that is "too" much during prime time we get huge stutters and lags since the DDoS Server can't handle those requests anymore.
This Video fixed my Problems. I dont know what exactly he shows 5 Ways, i have do all 5 and now i have 30ms and no spikes.

I posted a reply yesterday as the game was unplayable, this morning my computer wanted to do a windows update so I did that and.... game is playing perfectly now, no lag whatsoever

mightve been a dodgy update that windows have now fixed?

bizarre but yeah game is playing perfectly again
