Kinda sad what other people here are saying about POE 2
" It is and that's a good thing. It's a sink or swim game and most of you have been wearing floaties this whole time |

People freaking out need to remember
1) a game is always easier the next time you play through. First time is always harder because it's new and you aren't use to mechanics or how the game works. 2) It's called early access for a reason. Game has been out four days and they are already doing a patch to address player feedback. And for goodness sakes, please no difficulty levels. I HATED when Blizzard added that to Diablo. Learn to play and get better. Don't ask for the game to be dumbed down or have a kiddie mode added because you hate challenge. Last edited by Oslek#6276 on Dec 10, 2024, 8:13:31 AM

" NOPE Honestly feels like a great League start - second char is WAY easier once you know the game and have a stash. even the ascendancy BS is far better then LAB. Feels good - running with some people who never played the first POE and they are having a blast. | |
Path of Exile 2 is just fine. It is not too hard. I'm 70 years old and I'm doing great at it.
You folks complaining need to learn to play. The game is not going to hand everything to you and it's not a speed fest like Path of Exile 1. ~Hear 'em Howl~

" Can someone please explain to me what exactly you mean by the word "difficulty"??? What is difficult here? Is it the fact that now you have to stand in one spot, clicking a white mob with a single button for five minutes? TTK has been cranked up to an absurd level. Or is it that you need to dodge boss attacks in time? Weren’t you already dodging AoE attacks from bosses with a flame dash before? It’s always been like that in PoE—constantly dodging whatever comes your way. Or is the "difficulty" that you’re stuck wearing the same gear for dozens of hours? None of this is about difficulty; the game has simply been slowed down, making it feel TEDIOUS! |

" I have to ask, why are you defending it? Are you afraid that other people not enjoying it in the way that you do will take away your enjoyment of it? Is them not being satisfied with the product against some unspoken rule? Is there a reason so many people here champion getting less of everything like they are some sort of monks in training, trying to adhere to a vow of poverty? If PoE 2 has been great for you, no notes, brother, get off the forums and go play the game. Antagonizing people trying to give feedback in a feedback thread because it conflicts with your 'enjoyment' of a product seems like a sign of mental illness. ~ I am Wreaclast middle class and proud of it!

" It's clear you're taking what I'm saying out of context because you're ignoring that it's a response to a far more ignorant post. Have yourself a day. I got the sauce. Last edited by Holigawd#2935 on Dec 10, 2024, 11:34:58 AM

I'm having a great time with the game. The ARPG genre comes with a difficulty slider built in. If something is too easy, you push to harder zones earlier, if something is too hard, you farm for mere minutes and get overleveled and overgeared.
I don't want the game made easier from a raw numbers and interactive standpoint, that would worsen my game experience and decrease the longevity of the game for me. I think a good solution to people complaining about the difficulty is likely explaining the player power mechanics and ways of power creeping earlier. I think a crafting quest would be helpful. But the game is well tuned across all characters from my experience at least through the campaign, and I have never taken more than 3 times to kill a boss or area - with the vast majority of each area or boss taking 1 try. I think that's because I bought a good weapon from the vendor at the start of each act, dumped my crafting materials into it so it was overtuned, and then used that all the way through the act, rinsing and repeating at the start of each new act. Doing that made every fight feel good or easy, save for a couple awesome fights like the

I hope GGG doesn't lose sight of the vision of actually engaging combat that is challenging and solvable via character power progression and skill. |

Most poeple whining about increased difficulty discovered PoE later; once there were bazilions ways to get big loot early.
