Mercenary stops shooting

I am not sure what causes it but sometimes the mercenary will just stop shooting. I couldnt replicate it willingly but it appears to happen when i switch ammo or roll.

Definitely experienced this a lot. Still not sure which skill reloading stops attacks. But if you click attack on any destructible object character just wont shoot. Misclicked on some urn near mob? Bad luck no shooting for you.

I am also running into this issue. Occasionally can't shoot, can't reload. It seems to happen more often on roll, but I can't reliably replicate it.

My guess is, at least for the rolling part, is the the roll interrupts the reload, as a result the merc will not shoot as he has nothing to shoot.

Might be a different thing, but if you switch to an ammo type with no bolts loaded, and try to shoot immediately, after the forced reload the merc doesn't shoot.

Steps:
1. Empty a ammo type.
2. Switch to another before reloading.
3. Press the pervious ammo type key, and hold the attack key.

e.g.
Ammo on Q and E, Shot on Left Click
Empty Q, Switch to E, then Switch to Q and immediately hold Left Button down, after the reload the merc doesn't shoot, you have to release and hold again.

It's not a ammunition/reload issue on Merc. You can have plenty of ammunition loaded, and it will still occur. Also note, it takes several seconds to be able to shoot again. Hitting the same skill over and over repeatedly to try to force a reload does not help, whether or not you have remaining bolts. Can't even switch skills to shoot at all.

Now, I just ran into a very similar issue on Sorceress. Using ice nova, I sometimes am unable to cast for several seconds. I have mana and there is no cooldown. Such a similar issue that it might be the same one affecting Merc.

I could replicate it:

1. Empty ammo
2. Let go of R1/shoot button
3. Quickly change ammo and press shoot again

I am not 100% sure if this was it the whole time.

Nice find! I can confirm this works pretty reliably to reproduce it for me. I was able to occasionally reproduce it without fully emptying ammo, too, though it seemed easier to reproduce when emptying the ammo.

True. Yesterday i had a what if moment. Emptying ammo is not necessary, i just switched when my ammo was wmpty. Seems like the release and push of the shoot button does it.

Having this issue to sometimes have to let go of the trigger (console) and repress cause he ainght shooting and it happens alot dunno if it's when i roll but i don't think so cause i roll and i can keep shooting after just sometimes just stand there like a dummy and have to repress again for him to start shooting wasting DPS time for sure...
