Game is ass, pigeon holed into only certain builds....that was the main reason for diablos death and path's time to shine and they did and now they make a new game and its reworked into a more beautiful game, with no way to experiment with anything you only get like 6 builds a class...Thats what made PATH, PATH. Dev's tried wayyyy to hard to make a pretty game. 5 years? for this skill gem system? Actually terrible.

Here's the problem:
People don't want to grind out the campaign. For leagues, for testing builds, for leveling ascendancies. Serious ARPG players play for endgame. They made the campaign PAINFULLY slow. It's like ruthless mode while walking in constant tar. I had no problems beating the campaign. But it wasn't fun, at all. And this was my first playthrough! So you can shout "SKILL ISSUE" all you want, maybe its a "FUN" issue! They could fix this, by increasing all base movement speed for all classed by 20%, increase dodge roll animation by 40%, and then tripling loot drops for the campaign specifically. That way the campaign will still be relatively challenging, but not a slog fest as it is now. If I wanted to play a souls game, I'll go play dark souls 1 and 2 again. I bought this to play an ARPG. Thats "ACTION" RPG. |

The game is horrible, I agree...
They made "The Dark Souls of ARPGs"... well congratulations... and with it you brought in the absolutely TOXIC fanbase of Dark Souls games that only know two words with atrocious spelling "git gud" cause they're absolute sweaty virgins that don't know what actual fun is... I used to play PoE1 and was decently good at making builds work without a guide which is what PoE was all about... not this sweat-fest... I played a Sorceress and died to the act 1 boss 15 times due to the character being completely sluggish and immobile while the boss spammed one shot mechanics or huge damage bomb mechanics one after another with zero cooldown to let you get some damage in... I finally beat the boss after A LOT of pain and then in Act 2 I died another 4-5 times in a row without any hope of dodging that damage... so I tried a ranger to have mobility and focused on defenses early like we did in PoE1... yeah, that backfired too... I had ZERO damage in the bosses health bars were not going down AT ALL... The game is only for sweatlords now... it's a matter of time until all the actually chill people leave this game and it ends up with a playerbase of 10k people while PoE1 had 280k people playing after 10 years!!! The game is absolutely perfect.
Perfect pacing. Great power-creep. Level rate is exactly where it needs to be. Devs, you did an amazing job. This is why we have both POE and POE2. Something for everyone. |

" This is the account you play poe 1 on ? You have never even played the game before. You killed merveil ? POE2 is everything i knew it would be for years now and i feel very vindicated at the moment. They are about to nuke their whole fanbase. POE1's graphics and systems overhaul died for this slop. I could of happily played poe1 for another 10 years with the new graphics update, its actually amazing i knew it would be, i will be forever disappointed they gave up on the poe1 overhaul. Sad. |
