there's harder poe and then there's tedious monotonous lazy mechanics poe 2. if I wanted poe 2 i'd play ruthless.

also for the 100th time the campaign for poe shouldn't be harder and longer. it's literally a waste of time in poe. I dont mind my 140 hours leveling my warrior in hardcore wow classic. but in poe dealing with these mobs and bosses i'm just like -_- when does it get good?

I've talked a lot of crap about how the game was overhyped but I was hoping it wasn't. I can't even play my build because some of the skills are ON ITEMS ONLY??? insanely bad combat. The gem system is awful. it's way too hard stressful and i've been playing hc wow for a long time..

Remove bosses and zones resetting. I dont want to re clear a zone for the 100th time because 1000 mobs came out of the ground surrounded me and stunned me and didn't die even tho my gear was insane. I had a +3 staff with 100% spell damage ffs.

a1 was interesting but a2 was boring and lame

edit: DODGE ROLL???? AAAAAAAHHHHHH. worst mechanic to ever be in a game ever. i saw on poedb you can get frost blink but it reserves your spirit... pain....

edit: OH GOD THE SANCTUM = i purposefully have not done a sanctum since the first day the were released... i'm not doing it in poe 2

The gem page reminds me of Wolcens skill page but worse. You can't even see the gems available unless you use up a uncut one

I keep hearing it's like ruthless, but the more I play, it's just not... I think we all know what the REAL issue is and I'm sure people have already said it.

I've been enjoying the game pretty thoroughly so far, not really that many complaints. Yeah crafting material could be just a *tiny* bit more common but I enjoy the slower overall pacing where things feel more meaningful.

Mostly just think some the responses here saying things like just wanting a game to turn there brain off to like PoE1 and watch 100s enemies explode into loot are being delusional. In no way is needing a college course in build crafting *casual*. Spending 6 hours before you even start your character having to plan out three different builds is not *brain off*. It's not enjoyable for majority of people to play through the story and get to the second half of PoE1 and learn your build wasn't perfect and your character's dead cause you don't have 80 orbs of regret. Yes I want depth and to feel like my choices are meaningful, but it's not fun that they have to be perfect cause late-endgame enemies require millions of DPS from niche passives and skills and perfect immunities from spamming flask piano to not die instantly.

Like it's been stated, PoE1 is still there. They still plan on supporting it. Let them take this different game in the direction they always wanted it to be. There are things that could use work, and I'd love for more skills to play with. But that's cause I want to experiment, which is what I think makes PoE the game it is.

Gas arrow with a bow that 'shoots one additional arrow' = 850% total weapon damage per arrow if detonated (x2). 1700% damage with low mana cost and NO COOLDOWN.

Compare this to Stormblast Bolts for Merc, which you can't even control where they land. ~150% damage when detonated.

The balance is terrible. Certain builds are overperforming at 10-20x the DPS of others. Day 2 and the game is already in 'streamer builds win' mode.

1) Boring combat
2) Low loot
3) Insanely large boss pools that involve 1 shot and 'get hit twice and die' mechanics... unless... #4
4) PIDGEON HOLED STREAMER BUILDS! Gas Arrow + Detonator or deal 10x less dps! Yay!
5) Everything they've done in PoE2 has already been done better by a different game. Gem systems were much more complex in Poe1. Combat was much more fluid in Diablo 3 and Diablo 4. Interesting 1 hit boss fights were already played to death by the Dark Souls genre (and those games are usually 1 and done games for most people).

Exactly. It's already in the meta builds are the only builds that you can even think about playing. typical "live vicariously through streamer moment" from ggg. and idk if it's in ea. the only reason they're calling it that is to push aside any comments about bugs, bad balance and mechanics... it's been in development for how long? and who knows how long before they announced it and based on a game that's been out for 15 years....

It's not a skill issue. I beat the 1st part of the campaign.. it's just bad. they force you to fight bosses that have more mechanics and damage than pinnacle poe 1 bosses but you just woke up on a beach with a stick... the pacing is awful

sure there are MINI bosses before mervail in act 1 but you have time to getsome power before beating her and if you take extra time you're going to get some gear.

like in HC wow you play a little slower some times and try to get some gear before doing the hard quest and the game prepares you for it and rewards you.

in poe 2 you're on white gear or rare gear that has no good stats and you can't afford to buy anything lol.

then your skills do 0 damage which turns the game into dodge roll the game. dodge rolling is not a skill.

plus if it's a skill issue then ggg is not making the game to be played . they're making it to be suffered through
Not gonna lie, reading your comments makes it sound like a skill issue. The game isn’t even that hard—it’s challenging, sure, but not in an unfair way. Every time I’ve died, it’s been my fault, and I’ve learned something new to improve as I progress through boss fights.

Honestly, it’s hard to believe you even made it past Act 1 with the way you’re describing your struggles.

edit: also you have not provided in any feedback to improve the game. i feel like they should lock and close these threads if you don't offer any advice to improve the early access version of the game.

Like all you do is complain and cry its really cringe
