POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Same issue here.
Same issue here. Not able to make it past various loading screens, most often the first one after character select.

Windows 11, version 24H2
RTX 4060 Ti
AMD Ryzen 5 5600
I also experience this issue and only with POE2, never had any issues with other games:

Win 11 24H2
Ryzen 7 7800x3d
Nvidia RTX 4070
32 GB DDR5 @4800mhz

I tried with the suggestion someone made to limit the CPU usage of poe2.exe to 95% but i still got the issue.

Its driving me crazy, I had to forecefully shut down my PC from the button like 10 times in the last 12-16hours. At this point I'm afraid it might toast something.

I'll try with multithreading off but I might have FPS issues and CPU problems that way....
Got same issue, i think i had to reset my pc for at least 15x until now,

7950x3d / 4080 / b650 / 24h2

Edit : It will be an update for this issue maybe in early access? or we bought early access just to risk bricking our computers ?

So far I've had no crash today by toggling off engine multi threading when portaling to new zones for the first time. CPU temps still spike to 90c randomly but once I'm in the zone I can turn multi thread back on and play. I don't believe this issue was resolved with the hotfixes but until I lock up again I'm attempting to play with this workaround.
Temporary solution to loading screen frezes:

Try using BES (Battle Encoder Shirasé) Following a suggestion, I’m using BES to limit POE 2's CPU usage to 95%. Download link: https://mion.yosei.fi/BES/ So far,

I’ve tested it by teleporting across several waypoints, and I haven’t experienced any freezes. It seems to effectively prevent the CPU from maxing out at 100% during loading screens.

I try using BES set to -5% and still got pc freeze, I will disable multicore then :(
glad too see others have this issue as well, thought I'm the only one

thanks @Zarasi#7652

GGG support - here is my sysinfo https://file.io/ybRzRmoHhjuT
Same here.

In fact, I've had my PC freeze up right after the Grinding Gears logo screen when first launching the game. Can't even get to the LOGIN screen sometimes.

But when I do get in, the game runs pretty smooth for up to a couple hours straight without issues before it freezes the PC again.

I was able to play for a bit this morning without a crash.

I can't find any anomalies in the Windows Event viewer log from the crashes I had yesterday. ALl my other games and benchmarking programs clear without any freezes or crashes.
Windows 11 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD

You could try a bit lower, see how 10% works. If that doesn't work, you might want to look at other options, such as setting maximum processor state in power options. If you'd like to try that, then make sure to close Path of Exile first, and then:

1. Open the Control Panel in Windows.
2. Click on Hardware and Sound.
3. Click on Power Options.
4. Click on Change plan settings next to the power profile you have active.
5. Click on Change advanced power settings.
6. Expand Processor power management.
7. Expand Maximum processor state.
8. Change it to 90%.
9. Press the OK button.
10. Try Path of Exile again.

Example screenshot

If it works, go back into the Power Plan and change it to 95%, and try again. You want it as high as possible without making Path of Exile crash.

What this setting does it cap the maximum CPU usage for the whole system. The difference between this and BES CPU Limiter that I mentioned in my previous reply, is BES only caps PoE, whereas power profile settings cap the entire system. Make sure to remove the cap (i.e., set it back to 100%) when you are done as you don't want to forget about it because it's throttling the system.
