I read somewhere here that running POE2 in network share folder fix the crash issue, so i tested by copying the POE2 folder to my home server share folder.
Loading took a while but i am able to play 4 hour without crash.
THen i have an idea how about i create a share folder of the POE2 in the my gamin PC and mount that as network drive.
Lo and behold I am able to play 5 hour straight without crash and dont need to keep disable and enable multithreading in the POE2 setting.
Quick step:
1. share POE2 game folder as POE2
2. mount network location "\\127.0.0.1\POE2" as a network drive
3. launch POE2.exe fron this network drive
Hi, took me a while to do that on windows11 but I'll go play now and give feedback later today.

I did not try this workaround yet, but if it works, this is just CRAZY.
GGG, I would be terrified to take a look at your code.

1. Turning off Threaded Optimization worked for me.
2. People are getting way too upset over this. It's early access folks. Its gonna have game breaking bugs. Half the point of playing EA is to playtest and find the bugs. The DEVs priorities might not align with our individual needs.
That's ok.
No, that's part of alpha and beta testing, not early access. The game should at least function properly. Instead it is crashing the OS and physically damaging peoples' computers.

Well, you got my hopes up
I tried this, and finished 1 map with no problems.
I thought, oh shit this actually works, but then... it crashed...

I think GGG will hire someone from this thread, given how many tests have been performed!

Time spent on inventing non-working workarounds is better spent on creating Steam discussions and putting out negative reviews...
This can only be fixed by GGG themselves.
That's why, once again I ask anyone who encounters this problem to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner so that others will be made aware of the issue.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.

Just my 2 cents, having faced the PC lock up issue during loading screen since launch with my AMD X3D CPU, and recently being able to play normally without fiddling anymore with the options to disable/enable at each load the engine multithreading.
I've been using this program that detects automatically the PoE2 client loading phase to park some CPU Core threads then re-enable them when loading completes. Effectively doing automatically what I've been doing for a month now by enabling/disabling multithreading manually.
https://github.com/Kapps/PoEUncrasher
Also, if run in administrator, it will also automatically fix another common issue with the PoE2 client that hangs, but not freeze the whole PC as per above. Another bug that I also used to face time to time since launch.
I would recommend using it to sweeten your game experience whilst waiting for a proper fix from the dev team.
