POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I had been playing PoE2 for a month, but after switching my CPU from a 12900K to a 9800X3D, I can't play anymore. The game keeps crashing on the loading screen, like it does for many others, and I have to restart my PC. It's really annoying.

I tried PoE2 Uncrasher, and, man, I was so happy! It worked fine all day when I was playing, but the next day, the loading screen crash issue returned. This time, my PC didn’t completely freeze, so I was able to exit PoE2 through Task Manager. Still, I can't play the game.

So, I decided to refund the game. I hope it goes through.

Had the same experience. Its so sad really.

Poe 2 is a way better game over all, but d4 runs sooo smoothly compared. Its like stepping into a whole new world. I pretty much max the settings and have a constant 200+ fps with a 240hz monitor. Its like eating butter with a spoon compared to poe.

With that said, d4 not bad. Its just that poe 2 is better sadly. Good game, terrible engine and performance.

Hope GGG can fix this. But I have my doubts to be honest.

Yeah same.... sadly enough
Played D4 for 6 hours, highest settings 1440p, steady 144fps, not 1 issue.

And no third party tool to 'park my 7700x his cores'...

Same issues here, PC freezing, have to hit the on/off button to restart.

I don't want to lose my new set up on this.

It's been more than a month since Devs answer on this post, is there any news ?

I'm going D4 waiting for a fix.

nothing done by GGG since the launch ! i will play D4 now bye POe2 hard crashes or disabling multithrading and lagging crashing after all this time we complain about it is not accpetable. nothing done GGG is waiting microsoft to debug 24h2 but POE1 run just fine ! and diablo 4 too !

I think my problem was the same as in this thread. Since 24H2 I have random hangs, almost always on loading screens, sometimes app is not hanged completely and my mouse is moving veery slow, but when pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del, whole computer hangs and I can only reset it by button.

My SOLUTION was simply to move game files to a network drive. No single hang since yesterday. I think problem has got to have something to do with direct access to drive.

Fun fact: I had exact same problem in game Victoria 3, also since 24H2. moving to network drive also helped with this one.
It doesnt matter if network drive is SSD or old mechanical drive - it just works. Maybe slower, but works.

Did the devs give an progress update on this?
