I looked into the issue with the Microsoft update 24H2 which apparently was a bad unstable release despite Microsoft claiming its a stable version. I looked through their forums and other places and i stopped thinking this is GGGs fault at all. Several games have this problem and Microsoft isnt really reacting or admitting to their mistake (accountability was never their thing).
i ve reinstalled Windows 11 with 23H update and i havent had a single problem with the game since. I also tried all other solutions before which all just brought short term solution.
Its been 2 weeks now with no issues. I m sure GGG can find a way to limit the CPU Usage to fix the problem on their side but it for sure wont be a full fix unless MS gets their asses up and does something about their bad update which we surely cant count on.
Do yourself a favor and go back to 23H. I couldnt reroll so i formatted, big bummer but it had to be done. It also repaired some other issues i had with my PC which were CPU Core related so there aint much to say tbh.
I am win10 and I have the same issue.
Thought it is conceivable that the same issue in win11 is present in current 10.

Maybe you have a similar problem? Most people are experiencing issues because of the Windows 24H2 version. How many people will still have this problem if we exclude everyone with the 24H2 update? In my case, reverting to version 23H2 completely solved the problem. I don’t understand why people, having this option, test every other solution while skipping the option to revert to version 23H2.

You can also find multiple threads about PC freeze in POE1 SORTED BY "A YEAR AGO"

Because a lot of joes bought pre-built PC without the backup of the older updates. Microsoft forcefully installed their shit on the brand new PCs. Downloading ISO with the older version is something difficult or unacceptable for them. Also it doesn't work with 100% reliability, because other OSes are also affected by the freeze. Read the topic before posting your concerns.

I'm not really trusting of microsoft enough to revert any update. Windows can irrevocably break at the best times for updates. The amount of windows I have had to fix by nuking from orbit because of massive package issues over the last few years lead me to be very cautious.
I'm interested to know if anybody else is suffering much higher crashes lately? POEUncrasher is not succeeding at all, I think. It's basically crashing every time I port at the moment. I didn't think the idea of scraping the log would be fast enough to fix the affinity and I feel like I'm seeing that. I believe I have crashed 3 times in a row from coming back from a map.

poe uncrasher was a godsend. I can finally play with almost no issues. Waiting for a fix this was really helpful.
