So "for now" here is the "fix" according to Pirate software and shroud. I haven't had any crashes/freezing but the stutters are still there nothing well fix that with the memory leaks in game confirmed by Ziz. Enable vulkan and turn shadows to high, 8x anisotropic filtering, no upscaling NIS. When the game launches go task manager details and set POE affinity cores and uncheck 0-1. Also select your gpu instead of auto for physx in the nvidia control pannel. I haven't froze all week since this fix but at the cost of my games visuals and performance. 4080s/7800x3d/24H2 windows 11. 70-100fps 3440x1440 all other settings maxed.

PoE doesn't even use physx.
Cant play the game it keep freezing and i need to force shut every 10 minutes or so and its not only between zones in game i had a freeze even in the game intro at the first 2 gears once i had to force shut down 5 times in a row its messing with my pc i wont play until its fixed i tried all possible settings / clear the cache / exclude folder in the windows defender / bes for -5% on processor / nothing work and i dont wanna install a fresh windows for this. this should be nr1 priority not making minions cost more spirit or random nonsense . people cant play the game and u fix nothing of worth . im on amd ryzen 5600x / 3070 sup with win 11 v24H2

Same here for me, dozens of times per day during loading. The gears turn, then they stop and can only hit the reset button on the PC and reboot (again & again).

Another thread has a workaround that worked for me try this.
1. Go to your Start Bar and search for "Edit power plan"
2. Click "Change advanced power settings"
3. in the new window click the + next to "Processor power management"
4. Click the + next to "Maximum processor state"
5. Click Setting and change it to 80%
6. Click apply and close all of that.

7 Launch POE2 and let me know.
Use BES (Battle Encoder Shirasé) and select poe2 proccess as target, limit it ("limit this" option) to -5% and let program open while playing. Solved my problems temporarily!

same problems for me
PoEUncrasher worked for me as well, 4-5 hours and everytime it acts like crashing it saves itself, thank you Kapps
another patch still no fix how???
Can't believe they still haven't fixed it. I've been smooth sailing with Windows 23H2. These hard resets people are doing are not healthy for the PC at all. Power supply, any fans, RGB lightning, and especially AIO's running nowadays. All these sudden power resets are 100% not good for the PC that's why I rather install Windows 23H2 and save my PC from any sudden hard resets and damage components.

Better to install a healthy running Windows 23H2 than deal with side solutions like disabling multithread settings honestly who really going to do that every loading zone lol. Nobody got time for that and gimping your CPU with all these different solutions that ain't the way. But also GGG not fixing this means it's a big problem and can't be solved completely. Thankfully Windows 23H2 fixed mine but other suffering from this good luck!

Okay, I think I found an actual fix. So setting the affinity of PoE to disable the first two cores will prevent your computer freezing, but PoE still gets stuck in a loop at 100% CPU without being able to make progress. When this happens, you can set the priority of PoE to realtime and whatever it's waiting on is then able to get scheduled and PoE unfreezes. You should then change it back to normal priority when the loading screen si done.

The new version of PoEUncrasher detects PoE freezing, and then does this to unfreeze it, resetting it after the loading screen automatically. The new version is up at https://github.com/Kapps/PoEUncrasher/releases/tag/v1.2.0. Note that you will need to run the program as an administrator for the unfreeze feature to work. If you don't run it as an administrator, it'll say it's setting it to realtime but Windows will actually set it to High and PoE won't unfreeze.

Hopefully this works for others!

This has worked perfectly for me so far, thank you very much!
