Edit:
Its now officially "Safe to use" in terms of Virus from Nexusmods.com

Hi! I'm very eager to try your script, how exactly optimizes CPU usage? Do it turn off a couple of cores?
dxdiag info sent to Timothy few days ago

Had this issue since day 1 but now i can't even load my character, every time pc freeze and need hard reset, so i can't play, what to do with balance patch when i can't play? it's mind boggling how a game in 2024 can freeze and block your pc.

IDK why this is not fixed yet or on high priority, when 2 threads were made with 400 pages of people with same issue, i understand it's EA, but dude, it's not a game, it's brick your PC simulator which costs at least 30$

And no, i will not try to do a backflip while deleting my windows folder, i will not try to unplug and plug my connection to god, switching on/off all in game settings, install windows 95 or other "fixes" when the problem is this game.

Sadly i can't refund and it's disappointing from a big title like this.
How do i kudos this....
Nope updated drivers not helping.

Hey everyone. After 5 days without even being able to log into my char, I finally managed somehow. So I would like to ask anyone that is crashing to desktop (but not freezing) to try the same and see if you succeed as well.

Didn't do anything extraordinary, basically cleared all folders of Shader cache.
Then completely reinstalled the game on Steam.
Then after installation, instead of opening through Steam or shortcut, go to the steamapps > common > PoE2 folder and run "PathOfExile_x64Steam" as administrator. Make sure it is the x64 file.

Been playing for 3 hours now without crashing. Note that for the past 5 days, I could barely get through the initial loading gear. And now I'm playing without any problems.

Don't use lasso, don't limit cpu, don't use any external application. Just a fresh reinstall, Shader cache wipe, run game via PathOfExile_x64Steam.

Let me know if anyone succeeds.

i7 14700KF
4070 Super
24H2 --- yes, 24H2 and currently playing without any problems

Edit: dx12, multi threading on, fps limited to 120

In the power settings, set the

- "Maximum processor state" to 99%.

Don´t notice any performance loss ingame.
This deactivates hyperthreading.
Seems to work for me.

Where is this folder? Cannot seem to find it.

Well there are several. Here the ones I cleared:

user > appdata > local > D3DSCache
user > appdata > local > NVIDIA > GLCache
user > appdata > roaming > PoE2 > ShaderCacheD3D12 + Vulkan + D11
user > appdata > locallow > NVIDIA > PerDriverVersion > DXCache
Program Files x86 > Steam > SteapApps > ShaderCache

I think that is all
Merry Christmas to everyone who’s spent money on this game and hasn’t been able to enjoy it properly.
