POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

same problem here
"
I have managed to fix it finally. Today I played whole day with hundreds of teleports without issues.

***How to disable SMT/Hyperthreading/use only physical cores?***You could disable SMT/Hyperthreading from BIOS but that's not the optimal way as virtual cores will be completely disabled. That can hurt performance, especially if you have programs running in the background when playing.Instead, I use a program called Process Lasso, where I can select which cores any application can use, so I can make POE2 use only physical cores while background applications can still use virtual cores.Quick guide on how to do that:1: Download the free version of Process Lasso from Bitsum2: Install it wherever you want and open it.3: Then open POE2 and get to the main menu.4: Tab out and go back to Process Lasso. You need to find the "poe2.exe" process.5: Right click it, select CPU Affinity > Always > Disable SMT / Disable Hyperthreading.6: To make Process Lasso run in the background when you boot up your pc and apply these settings every time you launch the game, go to Options > General > Configure Startup and set the Management Console (GUI) Startup to "Do not start at login" and the Core Engine (Governor) Startup to "Start at login for ALL users". Click Next and then Finish.

You can disable SMT in BIOS as well but this program will disable it only for PoE2 automatically.

It disables SMT virtually but still you will be able to use all cores which for me is only -10 fps.

I have tried all fixes, updates, bios, card, disable affinity (this only fixed freeze of PC but not crashes) tried 95% core fix, nothing really helped me I was searching internet all days since launch but nothing helped until this SMT. I know it is compromise but it seems tha engine has problems with SMT technology an if you will seach internet this issue is in PoE1 as well for quite some time.

Follow tutorial from reddit and let me know if this helped.

Thank you guys, good luck !

The only thing that 100% worked for me everyone, been 10 hours and 0 crashes.
This is happening to me as well, in my case I have windows 10 and the game shuts down my computer like turning off the power.

I have done stress tests with OCCT to see if it is a problem with my computer. All tests pass correctly. I have also played cyberpunk 2077 and total war warhammer 3 and everything is fine too. After that i have tried to play poe2 again with some of the fixes mentioned here and the pc shuts down again. so i guess it must be nothing from my computer and it is more related to poe2.

I have already sent them the dxdiag report they are asking for to try to figure out what is going on.

Can confirm that disabling SMT gave me 5 hours of smooth gameplay - the longest I’ve ever seen, but by far the worst crash.

Did you disable it virtually via process lasso or in BIOS ? BIOS did not help me either.

Bios. I draw the line at downloading third party software. So the lasso option is not on the table for me. The latest crash removed my video output on the reboot, had to restart and unplug everything to get it back so I’m just done.
Can't give dxlog since pc crashing in/out of town is happening to my son and his fix was to play without gamepad. However today he reported to me that in acts 1, 2 with fresh characters the game plays fine with gamepad and without gamepad. But towards the end of act 2 and so far through middle of act 3 the game crashes only with gamepad while entering/leaving town. Without gamepad everything works just fine. Hope that helps.
I have a Win11 I7-9700K with a 2070 super and its crashing regularly, requiring a full reboot. I've lost display and boot order twice each. I've tried every recommended fix and nothing is working.
Tried everything, still freezing
