I reverted back to 23H2 instead. Works flawlessly again with a 9800X3D.
Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Recovery > Go back to the previous version of Windows.

Or simply search for Recovery in the search bar. Took me about 5 minutes and then I was back in windows. Microsoft store reinstalled a few apps I had updated since the update and that was it.

I think this option is available for a few weeks after updating to a new major version. After doing this, make sure you untick the "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" option if you've ever ticked that. Or it will probably reinstall 24H2 again.

Geez.. This help u for a hour? Day? To next update? This dnst work dude. Read topic before u think that will help. Its a scam fix. Simple - gamers with WIN 11 VER 22h/23h HAVE THE SAME ISSUE that u at 24h before u reverted win. So maybe any advice for them? Reverted 2 v21? Maybe win10 witch gamers have the same issue even before POE2 EA was released? :)

Geez, calm down. This appeared to me only on 24H2. It happened on every load screen where I loaded a new area. After reverting I don't have the problem at all. Been playing for 4h straight. Multithreading enabled. The update was pushed to me two days ago. If others are in the same boat it's probably the best option.

If the problem is different for you or anyone else. Obviously no need to do that.

I did a clean install with 23H2 and same issue.
I even installed bazzite and no luck.

at this point is not windows related or DX12, because I have the same issue with Vulkan

After getting approximately 10 crashes per hour and trying everything I got a solution for myself.
Disabling 2 cores didn’t work for me at first. Even disabling random cores didn’t work. So, I entered the game and disabled multi thread option (the game only uses one core and one thread) I checked which one the game was using. For me was CPU6 CPU7. I unchecked the multi thread thing in game went to task manager and disabled that core (CpU6 CpU7). Worked for me. No crashes no freeze. Max settings - ~ 180fps. I’m going to use this “solution” in the meantime

My god you have no idea how perfect this solution is. Everything else either didn't work or it did stop the crashes, but my game ran really poorly. This solution did fix the crashes and my game runs smooth as butter.

I highly recommend trying this to everyone with the help of Process Lasso.

Ive seen several comments on the nvidia sub reddit that say its due the latest "PoE2 optimized" drivers and that friends on older drivers are ok. Can anyone can confirm this?

4060/b650m-p/32gb6000mhz/7800x3d here, bios, chipset & gfx on latest drivers. Im not crashing as often as others are reporting but im having to manually restart my pc after a hard crash at least once per play session and its always during load screens.

Can you please elaborate on what I should do in Process Lasso?
Well, the game was working for me until now using that tip to disable Cores 0 and 1 in the task manager. Today, literally while playing, I started to smell something burning in my processor. And anyway, now the game won't even open anymore; while it's loading to open, the video cuts off, and I have to restart the computer. Now PoE 2 is over for me until they fix this. I can't even open the game anymore.

Hi All
Here is the 100% solution to the freezing issue: Disable Hyper-Threading (Intel) or SMT (AMD) in the BIOS.

How to disable it in the BIOS:
Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. This is usually done by pressing Del, F2, or a similar key during startup (check your motherboard manual if unsure).
Navigate to the Advanced Settings, CPU Configuration, or a similar menu.
Look for an option labeled Hyper-Threading, SMT, or CPU Logical Processors.
Set the option to Disabled.
Save the changes (usually by pressing F10) and exit the BIOS.
Restart your computer.

Glad to help

This got me 2 hours of no crashing yesterday. Will be playing more today to see if it fixes it. Pretty much last resort for me. I can’t do the trouble shooting any more. If this doesn’t fully fix it I will consider purchasing on console even despite these issues cause I enjoy the game that much

Built a new pc yesterday and was excited to see that I went from 40 to 100 fps in heavy combat. Then I started freezing on random loading screens and am now unable to play the game anymore. Shouldn't have upgraded I guess.
Welp disabling synapse and wpe didn't work. Still hard crashing during load

I think GGG should issue an official statement to address this issue. 120k views on this thread should show how many people actually experiences this issue. It isn't just a handful of people. Better than, offer us a refund option because this is clearly unplayable for players who suffer this problem. I don't mind refunding at all and wait for a full release to give the team more time to fix this issue. But from a customer pov, even if it's an early access, even though we did sign up for a beta experience, it still feels very scummy for GGG to keep their progress on this fix in the dark when it should technically be a code red/ highest priority, assigning all available assets and resources into fixing this. They were honestly lucky that the big streamers don't have this issue and only a few did, like Thor from PirateSoftware. If only big streamers shed light on this issue otherwise, I don't think we'll see this fixed any time soon. Someone who got connections to big streamers, please... do the 100k players a favor and make a video for this. Tq.

It's clearly shader loading problem, long map loading and not even mentioning opening a breach while doing maps, it literally becomes unplayable, for me fps is stable, only problem I have to shaders take 2 minute to load and if I try to play while it's loading, stutters happen, I cleared the folders, let game redownload them, but pointless, I really hope they will address this issue.
