POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I can't even get out of the start city for 8 days now, on loadscreen the pc hangs intentionally, it starts to make a lot of noise and heat up, I have to reboot via the power button. It is impossible to play.
I don't know how some people manage to play for hours, my gaming sessions ended in 10 minutes.

Same issue, have this issue from the begining, but after yesterday freezes are all the time. 1-2 map changes and must restart computer.

Exactly! 8 days ago I managed to get into the first town, tried to leave and same story, I haven't played since then.

8 days. An EA you would say, yes, but we paid for it. 8 days and we can't play.

i verify the files in steam and set the Shader Cache for NVIDIA Cards in the nvidia settings to 100GB Cache hold.

i played since then 1 hour without any issue. maybe that could work for you.
no cpu issues, no 100 % cpu power and no high temperature

Another magic recipe that won't work for anyone, but will keep people busy so they don't whine too much about the developers not solving the problem. I'm not going to change my system configuration, this game is not special, and it's not free, I paid money and I expect the game to work. This issue is not reproducible and has never been reproducible in other games, please stop posting different ways to destroy your PC.

i am frustrated like you but i give it a try and maybe it works for someone.

9800X3D, 4070 Ti SUper, Windows 11 24H2; I've also had this issue since day 1.

I've tried just about everything I've read about, and while they generally reduce the freeze rate, nothing has totally solved the issue *except* for manually disabling multithreaded processing in the options before *every* load screen.

Or simply search for Recovery in the search bar. Took me about 5 minutes and then I was back in windows. Microsoft store reinstalled a few apps I had updated since the update and that was it.

I think this option is available for a few weeks after updating to a new major version. After doing this, make sure you untick the "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" option if you've ever ticked that. Or it will probably reinstall 24H2 again.

Geez.. This help u for a hour? Day? To next update? This dnst work dude. Read topic before u think that will help. Its a scam fix. Simple - gamers with WIN 11 VER 22h/23h HAVE THE SAME ISSUE that u at 24h before u reverted win. So maybe any advice for them? Reverted 2 v21? Maybe win10 witch gamers have the same issue even before POE2 EA was released? :)

Geez, calm down. This appeared to me only on 24H2. It happened on every load screen where I loaded a new area. After reverting I don't have the problem at all. Been playing for 4h straight. Multithreading enabled. The update was pushed to me two days ago. If others are in the same boat it's probably the best option.

If the problem is different for you or anyone else. Obviously no need to do that.
