The issue here is that you don't get any gear whatsoever. Clearing an entire zone and 0 rares. Zero. Nothing drops. Meanwhile the enemies keep scaling.
The good reviews are only because of hype. |

The campaign is a slog so far maybe if my minions were not 1 shot ever second I might have fun

A lot of people commenting on being okay with the difficulty before even finishing act 1. Get through that boss without a guide before you comment on the difficulty. I personally don't mind it. I find the challenge rewarding, but I have to admit that if they want this game to have mass appeal they have unfortunately missed the mark. I sense nerfs to some bosses and mobs incoming.

" I hope you could convince new players with your logic and make them buy MTX. |

That Act 1 end boss is way overtuned for what it supposed to be. It has multiple phases, attacks that you have never had earlier keep just appearing out of nowhere. Insanely limited area and lots of AoE where you just can't go or it's game over and back to the beach with you.
The cherry on top of this PoE 2 cake is the boss healing between phases. That is pure cringe and I just can't help laughing while witnessing my character doing the very famous "DIESOFCRINGE" Twitch Emote death animation every time. It's like it's deliberately developed to look like that. But whatever Elden Ring rip-off this game is supposed to be, not even Miyazaki dares to develop bosses that heal to full. If there are any, they definitely aren't "Act 1" bosses, which you should be able to defeat relatively easy. The only option is "Get Good" at the game and have infinite patience and not get hit during a bossfight as there really isn't anything else you could do. The game is so tightly tuned that simple overleveling doesn't really help, you won't suddenly do hundreds or thousands more damage a few levels later. Farming for gear upgrades isn't as simple either as there aren't that many optional things around the areas during the Campaign. Everything optional I've encountered up to end of Act 1 is just minibosses and couple of Ritual Activities. There just isn't as much content here as in PoE 1, which is acceptable as it's Early Access. Less content = less loot. Then again, you don't get good drops in this game and it's fully focused on crafting of your own items. However, you get exactly the same amount of crafting materials as in PoE 1 and some items, especially Alteration Orbs are extremely scarce. It's all about RNG as rerolling item modifiers, which is very difficult in the early game. You can pick up all loot and carry them to the disenchanter in town for additional materials. I've done that as often as I can and I've yet to see a single Alteration Orb. You exactly aren't showered in crafting materials either and they don't feel at all as common as expected from pre-release interviews. Also Support Skill Gems also feel excessively scarce unless I've missed something? Only couple of my skills are at 3 gems at level 16 (end of Act 1) and I had to pick and choose them, I just don't seem to find any additional Support Skill Gems to have options. There's no vendor for Skill Gems at least in Act 1 and you have to pray on RNG to get drops. Last edited by dragothica#7129 on Dec 7, 2024, 11:06:40 AM

" Don't get me wrong, but your comment sounds that you've played POE1 not longer than 45 hours rather than 4500. With 4500 hours you would have enough experiance to know how to adjust skills & gear to beat the content. I have around 3k hours in POE1 and first tried the endboss of act1 just by experimnenting around with my available skills and combine them propperly + upgrading my gear. Game is not that hard if you have a little bit experiance in ARPGs and know how to equip your char propperly. If you can't beat a boss, take a step back, farm gear, farm 1-2 level and try again....Its not a must to beat every boss from the getgo with full blue gear. ;) |

On the flipside - investing in stun/freeze is actually good in the early game because even bosses are easy to stun/freeze.
