Difficulty
" I don't suspect a lot of backlash is going to be from casuals. Actually casuals, that have played a lot of games, are reasonably likely to adapt to the few things that are making the EA "hard" ... I think it's players like me that got used to PoE1 sensibilities and haven't played a lot of the recent [harder] ARPGs .. Probably not fair to GGG but I figure that's the odds. |

Playing as warrior:
Act 1 was a lot harder than Act 2 is so far. It wasn't too bad, I can see myself getting better each playthrough, but it feels surprisingly harder than Act 2. It was a bit of a slog at times until I learned the game more. Specifically the Manor at Act 1. Draven was frustrating, but I remembered that GGG wants us to actually learn the boss fights. So I persisted and eventually won. Each boss after Draven, even Count Geonor, felt fair but difficult. It was up to me to adjust my expectations and play the game as intended, and not how I expected to be able to play it. Very positive experience all in all, but I think the drop in difficulty from Act 1 to Act 2 is too great. Either adjust Act 1 to a little bit easier, or make Act 2 harder. I would understand if the game was difficult in the end game.
Does it have to be difficult from Act 1? Definitely, a lot of new players will give up before act 2. |

I'm playing Mercenary with harcode mode and feel that game is still too easy for me

" If it's fun in endgame, why shouldn't it to be fun from the beginning? Last edited by Suchka_777#4336 on Dec 7, 2024, 3:18:07 AM

In my opinion, the game is hard, but not too hard. I needed 2 or 3 tries to beat bosses as a monk, but whenever I died, I never felt like it's unfair. There were always a thing I could improve, I was always well aware what exactly got me. I had to upgrade items in town to actually beat the boss. And I love it. I finally feel like items, currency and vendors mean anything. Unlike in PoE1, where you could just faceroll your keyboard and it more or less always worked.

I agree with the poster. I have tried different classes and the starting alone is just frustrating. The characters are so slow in their movements, that evading attacks or getting out of stuff is just clunky and slow. The crabs on the beach...just lets not talk about them.
Dark on dark, so you have trouble seeing stuff, that's a bad design choice. All in all I am not impressed. The claim the game would be "more accessible" is certainly missed by a long shot. |

Honestly the game it's pretty good, i'm loving it, the farm, the bosses fights with good mechanics, not too difficult but still you can die a couple of times sometimes with some boss. I am really happy with the game rn and i hope stays like this.
