Hard crashing PC locks up
" That message is a reference to Cato the Elder, who advised Roman Senate about how Carthage was still dangerous. History spoiler:
Spoiler
Carthage was still dangerous.
I will not risk my PC to reproduce the bug on my end. I will also not spend my time for the bothersome task that is someone else's job. I told my assumptions about how the bug happens, but without access to GGG's code we will never be able to actually know it. I will post about it until they fix this issue. Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1. I apologize for any unanswered messages.

I assume they haven't said anything about this since before Christmas?
Like many others have said I'm not risking my PC or wasting my time trying to get around a PC hardcrash bug, would be nice to play again. |

Hard lock 4 times now, and no other game has this problem with my pc that I've ever had, early access or not.

I just wanted to say real quick that I have been having success and have not crashed once since, granted I have only started this today, doing the following:
1. Every time before I start the game I delete all my shader folders. They will be in: %appdata%\roaming\Path of Exile 2\ The shader folder names will start with: ShaderCache* I just delete all folders that start with that name. 2. POE2 Graphics Options: I also switched to using the Vulkan renderer. I also disabled Engine Multithreading and capped my Foreground FPS to 144 (monitor refresh rate). My PC specs: Windows 11 Pro Version: 24H2 OS build: 26100.2605 Experience: 1000.26100.36.0 CPU: AMD 9800X3D GPU: Asus ROG Strix Gaming Geforce RTX 4090 RAM: 96 GB DDR5 6000 MHz Corsair Vengeance I really don't think the RAM is part of the equation unless you got unlucky and have faulty RAM. But I thought I would add it up there just in case. |

Honestly the PoEUncrasher floating around has worked for me for 7 hours. But it's nonsense to need that just to play the game.
Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. |

" I concur. And I would like to add (additionally): Please include excruciating details of how badly it hurts to remain unable to play this incredible (?) game. To recap, this furthermore becomes: " There, should you so choose, is the clues to use when you fuse the ruse. So ya
Thought ya Might like to Play PoE2 |

I was crashing like crazy until I disabled X3D boost on MSI x670e bios
My CPU is a 9800X3D I'm not experiencing any crashes now but I've played only a few hours since that change, might be a placebo |

Still can't play the game that I paid early access for and it's been 3 weeks. Pretty sad. I also was forced to buy a new cpu fan and had to learn to install it myself which was fun, got the thermal paste and everything and had to buy more ram to upgrade to 32gb from 16gb. Still sad this is happenning.
specs: i9-9900k 2080 RTX asus prime z390-p g skill trident z ddr4 3600 M.2 SSD 1TB pc is overclocked, tried setting it to balanced performance and still had issues. this game pretty much destroys my cpu and makes my gpu fan go crazy. the loading screen from logging in makes my cpu temps go over 90 degrees and uses 100% load. I didn't have this issue when I first started playing but I also upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11 around the same time this game came out and I heard that might be the issue. I can't downgrade to windows 10 anymore because too much time has passed since I upgraded to windows 11. I'm stuck here not being able to play a game that I've enjoyed for 10+ years and I don't even really care that I paid for something I can't play. The real issue is that I paid for something that caused physical damage to my computer and I had to go out and replace parts at my own cost. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. It should be your main priority and focus right now over anything else. |

Bumping cuz this is still happening, and no answer/fix yet.
