Hard crashing PC locks up

"
I was experiencing PC freeze when zoning and had to hard reboot. Like others, this seemed to be connected to hyperthreading. Changed my Nvidia driver from "game ready" to "studio driver" and haven't had another crash or freeze since.
I had a similar experience:
Was playihng for about 2 weeks with almost no crashes, at least on load screens.. I was using Nvidia Studio Drivers this whole time.
Then suddenly the freezes starts on load screens, and don't seem to cease. one of the first "solutions" i tried was changing to game ready. But the issue persisted or even got worst :\ i'll try to go back to Studio drivers.. if it works i'll update here also ^^ For now im playing on Direct x 11 with MultiThreading off, it's the only way i get 0 crashes.

I am curious how long are people waiting before going the reset route?

I hate resetting so I tend to wait and so far have had my system recover - though it might take anywhere from 90 seconds to 5 minutes - and log me out.

I dont know if the freeze is triggered by a timeout situation or the freeze causes a timeout situation leading to a forced disconnect.

For those with AMD x3d CPU's like myself and are on Windows, do you have Game Mode on or off? I suspect (but do not know) that CCD switching is part of what is going on.

I also wonder if Windows thread management is part of the core issue.

at least on 7800X3D, there are no CCD's to switch from. and that's the CPU i've been using.
Just another day...

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1. I apologize for any unanswered messages.

lol who would be paying someone to post in a thread regarding an issue that is clearly affecting massive amounts of players?

Hard bricking a computer is not acceptable for any game, and the company creating said game should be held liable for damages imo.
Add me to the list. 4090 and 7800X3D. I also have an ROG Ally im able to play on but I really just want to play on my desktop without constant freezing.

Don't you see he spams the same message in each his post, like it is his low wage job? When some IT guys here are trying to make assumptions, or the other ones just post their details, that troll is just trying to persuade the users to set negative reviews. The bug is 100% repro on his end and instead of digging in with kd he prefers to leak shit on the forums.
