Hard crashing PC locks up

Game continue to crash no matter what laundry list of "fixes" i have applied. I think i will try refund because it's unplayable at this point especially when i failed 2 times in a row for 4th ascendancy due PC crash ....
This should be their NUMBER 1 priority before anything else.

For myself, I’ve finally realized one thing: in my specific case, the entire problem lies with Windows 11 24H2.
Right now, I decided to play PoE1 instead of PoE2, and it also started killing my PC. Yet, over all the years, this has NEVER happened before. Just like when I started PoE2, and after the Windows update, this madness began.
Considering that others experience the same on Windows 10, I absolutely can’t understand why this is happening.

If its a windows problem why is it only poe that does this?
I have played hundreds of other games through the years and I have never seen this. Game is broken and shouldnt take months to fix this.

Still no fix. Still no word on a fix of the problem. Just cmon

Its actually hilarious that people have to go to drastic measures to play the game. Uninstalling windows, reverting back to old versions because a game is built on spaghetti code and sucks up your CPU usage where it hard locks the PC and windows is unable to do any actions...

yeah its totally a windows problem... not a crappy coded game problem.. nope not at all....

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to give a negative review of Path of Exile 2 on steam.

Its not just POE2 that locks up PC, Diablo 2 resurrected locks up my entire PC also. Some say using this method works, but i am afraid to use it because i dont know if it is safe! Can any GGG employee vouch for this method being safe to use?

This video shows you how to stop the game from using your 0 and 1 CPU core because the game makes you use up 100% processor which leaves no processing power for the operating system to function so the operating system locks up. In turn when the processor usage goes up to max you still have 2 cores left to realize the game is causing a lockup and it just closes the game out instead of locking system up.Hopefully this can shed some light on the issue. POE2 is a killer game ! I cant wait to get back to playing it with out having my pc brick up! :)

Started crashing after my second character. Unfortunately, I can load three maps until the game crashes windows.

Windows 11 - 24h2
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
RTX 4070 ti Super

I had the windows update 2 weeks before I started playing and it's frustrating that I need to jump through hoops just for the off-chance the game runs without problems.

make sure you all go and give the game a negative steam review because they obviously are not giving this enough attention.

i understand going on holidays after a rouch launch but today is the 2nd of january already, would love to at least get a post that this is being investigated with highest priority.

My client is constantly crashing as of yesterday, laiterally cannot play currently it randomly closes all the time
