Hard crashing PC locks up

BUMP too
Same issue's been happening for approximately a week over here,
Although it is now literally out of control as it starts hard crashing while first loading the game from the steam library, which is far worst than once every few hours of game time.

As of today, Has anyone noticed some unfortunate evolution in the crashes frequency?
So, PoEUncrasher (v1.3) active, Win Game Mode off, System/Graphics to Performance in Windows for pathofexilesteam.exe/pathofexile_x64steam.exe and limiting FPS to 100 ingame seems to help.
System/Graphics to Performance setting also fixed NVIDIA APP recognising PoE2 properly. No more PoE2 crashing.
My computer crashed for the 4th time. This time i had multithreading disabled and process lasso in the background for not using over 75% of my cpu.

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
Code: 1a
Parameter 1: 411
Parameter 2: ffff8180f96985e8
Parameter 3: 7a4e6ae0
Parameter 4: ffff8180f145a100
Operating System Version: 10_0_19045
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1
Operating System Version: 10.0.19045.2.0.0.768.101
Locale ID: 1035

Edit: I checked the 1A error, and it indicates a RAM issue. However, I ran diagnostics for faulty or corrupted RAM, and no problems were detected. My RAM appears to be fine.

i played for about 10h without crashes, With Engine Multithreading disabled and on DirectX 11.. performance is crap, but at least no more crashes.. Without this settings is literally unplayable for me rn, even with PoeUncrasher and/or all the realocating cores stuff done manually..

Win 10 22H2 (yeh, its not only 23h2 or on win11)
Ryzen 5 5600X
1660 Super
16gb ram

Are you running quad or dual channel ram? i.e. 4 ram modules or 2 ram modules?

having pretty much 6-7 crashes depending on the load, even thou game is good, technical problems literally draining your fun gradually, ultimately leading to burnout

I am using dual
I don't know what happened, but for 2-3 days I had not a single crash. With different shaders and settings. All I do is delete the POE 2 shader caches before I play. For me this is working pretty good so far. I was crashing a lot before.

To help the troubleshooting effort, I can confirm adding an exclusion for the Path of Exile 2's Roaming AppData in Windows Defender resolved the crashing between zones for me

i.e.
Exclude the path below in Windows defender and then reboot your PC
(Obviously replace "<username>" with your username)

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile 2

Hope this helps :)

care to explain the step by step please?

1. Open the start menu and search for windows security
2. In Windows Security, open Virus & threat protection
3. Under the "Virus & Threat protection settings", press "Manage Settings"
4. Scroll all the away down to "Exclusions" and press "Add or remove exclusions"
5. Press "Add an exclusion" and select folder
6. Navigate to "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming"
7. Select the "Path of Exile 2" folder and press select folder
8. Reboot PC

Found another step for this that I was not aware of when helping a friend troubleshoot the issue. There is an optional update for Windows 11 that I already had installed but we needed to install for them.

"2024-11 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5048162)"

I obviously can't guarantee that this will work for everyone but neither of us have had any crashes after both the update and the Windows Defender change
