Hard crashing PC locks up

"
Love to see how joes have BIG expereince played... 5 games making assumption about that it's only PoE issue. Sure, every single product (he played) doesn't have similar issues. Approved by Joe the "Internet Stranger".

Except these ones

Cyberpunk 2077 freezes PC completely

ARMA 3 HARD FREEZES YOUR COMPUTER? and this
Minecraft causes whole computer to freeze + unresponsive. Possible driver problem?
Shader Compiling freezes Unreal Engine
My pc freezes and crashes while playing fortnite
BattlEye causing PC crash at first launch of the game 95% of the time (going on for ~6 months so far)
and many others.

Sure, don't blame Joe, he just didn't check other products. He 100% sure it's GGG fault because when he played Diablo everything was ok.

I have never seen such a problem, and none of these are the problem that GGG has.

I think you have missed the part where I have said that: "PoE2 is the only game, and in fact the only non-virus, non-worm program that I've seen that actually crashes PCs in this manner."

The key here is "in this manner". GGGs code is doing something incredibly weird. All the examples you have shown are actually not at all like PoE2's crash.

Please stop being obtuse for the sake of being obtuse. I mean we get to laugh at you but at the same time it is getting tiring to stop your blatant attempts at misleading and deflecting people in the threads you have been active.

I really do hope that you are getting paid for this. If not, what a weird life you are living...

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1. I apologize for any unanswered messages.

Almost a month and nothing official but a vague line on a known issues page laying the blame on a recent windows update which, as shown in many reports, is not true since the problem occurs on earlier versions.

Just to add a bit of context, there are 2 main threads about this issue which GGG staff have responded to with one copy/paste post in each. At time of writing, those 2 threads have combined 6150 posts and 576,317 views.

Over half a million views from customers on the official forum alone = one line from GGG on known issues and no further updates.

When refunding on steam just link these threads and highlight how the game sold thru steam could permanently damage your PC, and there remains no ETA or update in almost 30 days on this problem. If they deny, just try a few times and steam will honor the refund despite hours played. They're quite good like that.

As a sidenote, the fact this problem has gone unreported on major POE youtube channels shows how deeply they're in GGG's pocket. If this was a certain other ARPG they'd be outraged but GGG is providing their income for the next few years and new zealand is quite a pretty country to visit.

I did not want this to be buried. I 100% agree with this. I think it is time for us to spread to the other bug reports. Someone is talking about "X skill does not work". Let us go there and ask him if it hard crashes his game. See how fast support appears then...

PoEUncrasher seems legit. I'm pushing 7 hours with it and haven't had a crash yet (knock on wood). I hope it keeps working. Several times the gears have stopped spinning at loading screens and it has identified PoE process as Not Responding and set it to real time at least a dozen times and saved me from a crash. Pretty solid so far. I'm actually able to enjoy the game. 9800X3D 4080 SUPER. I shouldn't have to use 3rd party community created software to enjoy the game tho.

I have a similar setup, 9800X3D and a 4080 (non-super) and PoEUncrasher has been working for me too. I agree that this is ridiculous as I'm still having to gimp my (pretty much top of the line) system to reliably play this game that I paid for.

Only 1 thing did work vor me.

All lag is gone with loading and the game is running smooth agian.
The fault was not with po2 but in windows, look at this youtube Vid.

I am having CPU temp/high core usage issues and I'm NOT on Windows version 24H2 - I'm on 23H2. My issue in particular is due to CPU reaching too high temps. It's reaching too high temps because some cores of my cores get set to 100% for too long for some content, especially with certain abilities. 14900KS, no core should need to be even close to 100% to run the game smoothly.

Fix your cooling problems. If your CPU is not capable to run at 100% load, it's definitely something wrong with your setup.
