Hi , i have same problem.

I have had some good success with an app called Process Lasso. You can use this to specifically set a rule for the PoE2 process to drop to IDLE priority and unassign 2 cores if the CPU usage rises above 95% for a second, and then remain at IDLE for say, 10 seconds. And then resume normal processes.
Find the tool here: https://bitsum.com/
To do this:
* Open Options, CPU Limiter
* New CPU Limit Rule:
Process match: pathofexilesteam.exe
When CPU use is: 85%
For a period of: 1 seconds
Reduce by this many cores: 2
For a period of: 10 seconds.
I also use ProBalance settings:
Advanced/
Leave all settings except:
Lower to idle priority instead of below normal: Ticked
Ignore all foreground processes: Unticked
Change affinity during restraint: Ticked
CPUs: 2-15 (or how many cores you have, just ensure you start at core 2)
This has immediately solved the issue for me - and it even decreases load time dramatically as well. Any tool that can reduce the CPU priority and remove cores will probably work, but this can be done on a rule basis per running process.
Of course, I cannot say if this is guaranteed to work for everyone. But I can say I've had hardlocking constantly, and I've now been able to play for 5 hours continuously. Except for one REALLY off bug that may be a server issue (says my controller is unplugged then dumps me back to the login screen).
+1
no more pc freeze/ hard reboot. The game crashes from time to time, no big deal. It's a shame devs can't give us a patch. Maybe there is a mayem between windows11r24/nvidia/games etc.
I do not care, studios should take care of CUSTOMERS EA or not .
Edit : Ubisoft patches outlaws/etc in october when win11r24 was really an issue.

Happy holidays everyone. If there was any hope for a fix or some communication it would have taken place today, the last day before everyone goes on Christmas break.
Sucks so badly but this will not be fixed until 2025, at the earliest it will be the week of Jan 2, but considering we’re pushing two weeks of radio silence from GGG, it wouldn’t surprise me to see this linger into mid February, possible even March.

So far the only took that has avoided crashing entirely for me is PoEUncrasher.
This obviously shows where the issue lies. The game RECOVERS from crashes when the priority of the process is set to realtime.
This obviously hints to either something wrong with Windows scheduler or hoe PoE is handling its load.

I am having Hard PC lockups on Win 11 with the Intel i7 9700 Coffee Lake CPU its an 8 core 8 Thread CPU and a NVIDIA RTX 3060 playing on 1080p. All my drivers are up to date with Nvidia.
This is what I was doing: I was in Act 2 going through the Lost city delve and I opened a portal back to town and when I stepped through the hard lock. Have to cold boot the PC to get any functionality.
The Second & 3rd time it happened was after I had changed the windows mode going from Fullscreen to Windowed Fullscreen and vise versa. Now when the game loads it tried to load into the Lost city delve and it will just hard lock, it won't even let me into the game. I was actually enjoying my Monk play through.

I reinstalled the game and rolled back from the windows update as well. Since my friends had no problems at all in the last day. So we looked for differences in configuration and windows version and it seemed my pc had already installed the last Windows 11 24H2 update to 26100. I rolled back to 22631. Gonna see if things improve.

Game was unplayable until I used the Kapps corrector, works like a charm :) Ty Kapps !

Seems clean, Windows Defender react cause it reads the journal log to adjust the process etc but others find it ok.

Workaround:
"
Path of exile 2 players on forums and Reddit discovered a workaround for crashes: manually disabling CPU cores 0 and 1 (CPU0/CPU1) in Task Manager's process affinity settings. This, however, is inconvenient, requiring manual adjustment every launch and preventing the use of these cores even outside of loading screens.
This tool automates this process. By monitoring the client.txt file, it detects the start and end of loading screens. During loading, it dynamically adjusts the PoE 2 process affinity to exclude CPU0/CPU1, preventing the crashes. Once loading is complete, it restores the affinity, allowing the game to utilize all cores.
While this solves the initial Windows freeze issue, some players still experience in-game freezes. Setting the PoE 2 process priority to "Realtime" has been found to resolve these in-game freezes. Therefore, when run as administrator, this tool also monitors for these freezes. If detected, it temporarily sets the PoE 2 process priority to "Realtime" to force recovery, then returns it to normal priority afterward. This provides a more robust solution for both system and in-game freezes.

OMG... I set this up for my system and what a difference now with much faster, smooth loads and no freeze crashes. I'll test heavily when I have more time to play but so far I'm super impressed!
Thanks :)
