Hard crashing PC locks up

not a fix, but the clear workaround that I have found is either 1) play without multithreading (doable but very unpleasant...and endgame isn't very doable), 2) make sure you disable multithreading before every loading (including first login) or 3) use the PoEUncrasher to automatically disable cores at load screens without you needing to remember.

I played for dozens and dozens of hours with option #1. And now at level 75 I'm using option #3.
constant crashing with that dang texture. Turned off nvidia overlay, tried dx 12/vulcan, limited frame rates but still some crashes making the game unplayable. Losing too much time trying trials and other ascendency with the crashes.
I found a partial solution; yes, it is isolated and doesn't help completely, but I still want to share it:

1. After launching the game, open the Task Manager.
2. Go to the "Details" tab.
3. Find the game's process there.
4. Set:
"Set priority" to "Real-time"
"Affinity" - leave 80-85% of the available cores for the game.
5. In the game, enable "triple buffering" (if possible).

These actions have the following advantages:
1. It might help you (but not guaranteed) (# ̄ω ̄)
2. In case the game freezes, your PC won't freeze, and you won't have to force it to shut down. You can simply reopen the game.

Disadvantages:
1. You will have to repeat most of these actions EVERY time.
2. It might not help you at all)))
Optionally; I think all of this could be written in a script, but I'm too lazy to do it.

I would be very happy if my instructions help someone! (⁀ᗢ⁀)

Reporting in same issue, pc crash on loading screen randomly, ctrl alt del does not even work have to hard reboot.

Windows 11 24H2
AMD 7800X3D
RTX 4090

Limiting cores 0+1 on the process seems to work for a while but can still happen, just not as often.
Same, Game completely crashed after clicking login button, had to force shutdown using the power button. :(

Ryzen 5 5600x
4070 Super
32 Go de RAM

Windows 11 Home 24h2

I'm doing this too, setting the game to real time completely removes the freezes, you can do it via process lasso so it's automatic instead of doing it every time you play.

Do you keep multi-threading off completely? or only for load screens?

I am playing in multi-threaded mode. Always. Moreover, I should note that the loading screens have started to fly by instantly.
For me I suspect the
1. Bluetooth ps5 controller is causing the crashes after i move the controller or press it, It freezes and locks up.
2. I noticed everytime i crash and hard reset my pc the sound card does not work after reboot, and my pc has no sounds. So i restart my pc again for the 2nd time and the sound comes back.

System: ryzen 7600 Rtx 4070

I’m done for now going back to Stalker 2 until they fix this!!!!!! Such a let down I even bought the King Faridun supporter pack. It’s just so sad!!!!!!! Fuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!
