I added a new build to PoE Uncrasher that should avoid false positives from virus scanners, but it requires .NET 9 to be installed on your computer. I don't remember if this is something that tends to be installed by default nowadays. But if you have issues with it getting flagged as a virus, that can be used instead.

As a reminder, if you run this tool it should prevent freezes from locking up your computer. If you run the tool as an administrator (rightclick -> Run as Administrator), it should automatically recover PoE when it freezes.

Downloaded the non-NET version, got a new trojan warning: https://ibb.co/sHJbf09

anyone here with 9800x3d? i dont care if the game crashesh i just dont want my computer locking up anymore. I unchecked 2 cores but still getting hard freeze

Uncheck more cores. If you freeze then your system needs more cores to function. Each build and user is different, some PCs are fine with 2 unchecked, others require more. It depends on how many processes are being run and how good their processor is.

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.

Just now the game had an extremely critical bug, it completely freezes Windows, I couldn't minimize the game, I couldn't control alt del, just resetting the computer with the power button! Not to mention the countless times the game simply closed with the same dx12 textures problem. I can't play for an hour without the game closing.

Stop playing the game. You are risking your hardware.

There are some workarounds here that stops the hard crash (the game still crashes but does not take the PC with it), check those and decide for yourself if the game is worth that trouble.

Unfortunately I think I have to hang the towel until we get a fix :(
I tried the PoeUncrasher script with some success but this morning, even with the tool I had to hard shutdown my PC trying to load into maps, two separate occasions.

System specs:
Windows 11
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
32GB 6000 RAM
4070 Ti Super
Running Vulkan

Super sad boys I was having a lot of fun and I have confidence PoE2 will be a great game but this needs fixed asap.

After 130 hours I did my evaluation and it was negative on Steam, I'm going to stop playing for now I don't want to ruin my machine. I hope they fix these problems, who knows I'll play again!
Same here I had so many crashes that I now decided to leave it and come back whenever it is fixed (whenever that should be probably not in the near future). I will start a new and fresh season in diablo 4 haha at least this one is working fine .
I really wish they would at least address this issue again. Any sort of update would be appreciated. As of right now, it almost feels like we're forgotten even though it's quite a major issue.
I had a lot of fun 100 hours so far, played 0 crashes on my older PC with windows 10 and bad specs like 1070.
Was gigahyped so i bought a new PC to play it on even better settings, after new PC with W11, i've been getting frequent crashes and yes process lasso is great for preventing full OS crash, but its unplayable atm, will wait for a fix to this issue before i play any more PoE 2.

Specs on new PC
4060
Ryzen 7 9700X
7000/7000 read/write SSD
32GB DDR5 with 5600mhz
MSI Tomahawk Mb
24H2 - W11

Im saddened, but it is early access, hopefully there will be a fix asap. :2

Seen several threads about this. Very commonly people are using X3D chips and on windows 24h2. Not sure if theres a crash log somewhere I can upload. I'm afraid to play till this is patched. It wasn't a BSOD or CTD it was a full on pc freeze had to power it off.

Edit: These crashes are not exclusively on 24h2. Users report 23h2 and w10 crashes as well.

Has there been a fix yet? It's making the game almost unplayable
